CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS AND NOTES:

--Dan Leo James made the best showing for himself yet by winning an eight-person Battle Royale to earn a BRAZEN Championship Title match against Killjoy!he busted out some of the moves that helped his team make it to the Tag Party 3 match including The Minute-Approved Majistral and Cortez's chops, but in the end Killjoy weathered the storm and hit the FreeFall to retain yet again! But in that, James garnered a HUGE ovation from those in attendance!

--The Tag Team Champions managed to stop the massive momentum built by Team Strong/Bad in the past few months and retained. Strong AF and BRAGG had the strength advantage, but thanks to a belt shot, he kept it. However...  two new teams may wait in the wings. More on that below.

--BRAZEN Onslaught Champion came up short in a six man tag against the Barrios Boys on Friday, though he wasn't pinned by the inaugural Onslaught Champion Gerardo Villalobos. However, the powerhouse Villalobos came up short against MvW as he retained his title. No new challengers came forward, but again... more on that later.

--BRAZEN Star Cup holder "One Shot" Jack Halcyon has been racking up defense after defense since winning and added former Onslaught Champion Paul Dunson to his list of scalps. On that note... he called out Killjoy! He wanted the chance to hold the BRAZEN Star Cup as well as the BRAZEN Championship! But as a counter offer, High Flyer IV demanded a chance to go for the Cup and Halcyon accepted. In two weeks, on the September 17th-18th Double Shot, if Halcyon can defend the BRAZEN Star Cup against High Flyer IV on the 17th, he will earn a BRAZEN Championship match against Killjoy on the 18th!

ONES TO WATCH:

--In the Tag Division, Batts and Luke Ali'i teamed with Declan Alexander to win a six-man tag bout over Troy, Silver and HF IV with Batts pinning Silver. Meanwhile, New RCR have been racking up wins and want a chance. On the 17th, Batts and Ali'i will take on The New Rain City Ronin with the winning team taking on LET on the 18th for the tag titles!

--The Storybook Kingdom and the DEFcepticons have been battling it out with sneak attacks and post-match antics so the first match between the two will take place at the next Double Shot! The 17th will see A. Grimm and Red Wolf take on Al Sparks and Ryan Knox! The 18th will have Megan Kron and Septimus Tyne take on Sarah Winterton and FAFNIR!

--Dan Leo James received big applause for his efforts over the weekend and at Tag Party. Leyenda de Ocho racked up another win and declared his intention to go after the Onslaught Title. And Team Strong/Bad and Heavy Artillery also both want in on the Tag Title picture! Count Novick continues to win over the BRAZEN Faithful while Justin Sane quit and was rehired by the time this show finished up. Newcomer Brayden W. Levrington antagonized the crowd, but won his debut in the process before running afoul of Nathan Cross backstage, ending in a pull-apart brawl. Things look to pick up between the two in the weeks to come!

But in BIG BIG NEWS...

BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment announced that on the October 2nd and October 3rd Double Shot will host the two-night BRAZEN RISE Tournament! A sixteen-person single elimination tournament! The winner will be granted a shot at any title of their choosing! With the exception of Killjoy, the Tag Champions, Onslaught Champion and the BRAZEN Star Cup winner will automatically be entered with other wrestlers to be announced at the next Double Shot! Night One will be dedicated to all opening round matches and Night Two will feature the quarter, semis and final matches!
