Biography
Born in a NYC suburb, Scott Fleiderman entered radio more out of desperation than passion in the summer of 1998 at 22 years old.
The passion came when he realized how naturally it came to him. After a three year run as the overnight DJ at Cleveland’s 104.5 KQQR where he blazed a path as a foul mouthed rebel of the airwaves, Flash would eventually come to the attention of Chicago program directors. Moving to KMOO, Chicago’s THE COW, Scotty dominated the morning market in less than three months and would soon be syndicated all across the country.
He would join New York’s WZOM 92.3 the Zoom in 2002 with a growing following and a huge contract.
Made the strange superhero comedy film, FingerMan, in 2006. Grossed $191M domestically. Oddly, the film was huge in Japan. Flash would have a short stint on major network late night but battled the censors and was unceremoniously tossed before his first season had ended. Career had a brief revival as a wrestling color commentator for a national wrestling promotion in the late 00’s that eventually saw him return to national radio.
Spearheaded the mainstream transition from live terrestrial radio to an on-demand podcast style presentation in 2011. Enjoyed nearly a decade of success as one of the most listened to daily podcasts available until a contract dispute with his powerhouse podcast distributor resulted in an abrupt end to his program. Signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal with DEFIANCE Wrestling in early 2021 to help flesh out their DEFonDEMAND Digital offerings.
Made DEF on-screen debut at DEFCON 2021 Night 2 as the Main Events special ring announcer.
