29 Oct 2023

DEFIANCE Wrestle-Plex, New Orleans, Louisiana (seats 4,000)

WELCOME TO TAG PARTY V!

Fireworks!

Chaos!

Rowdy DEFIANTS!

A special stage for tonight’s occasion as DEFIANCE x BRAZEN is embroidered on the DEFIAtron for the special once-a-year show for DEFIANCE! The camera pans all across the filled-up DEFIANCE Wrestle-plex before finally settling on The Commenstation Station next to the stage with “Downtown” Darren Keebler and Lance Warner ready to bring the noise and the factoids.

DDK:
Welcome one and all! I’m “Downtown” Darren Keebler along with my broadcast partner-in-crime, Lance Warner! Tonight, DEFIANCE and BRAZEN proudly present the one night of a year where both brands come together for a one-night tag team tournament with a big cash prize on the line! Welcome to the FIFTH installment of TAG PARTY!

Lance:
And this year, we have the BIGGEST cash prize yet! Favoured Saints have sweetened the pot for a $250,000 cash prize! Up from years past where $100K would be on the line! These twelve teams now have two-hundred and fifty-thousand reasons to win this tournament tonight!

DDK:
The best of the best have won this tournament! Names like Elise Ares, Dex Joy, Lindsay Troy, Conor Fuse! Future stars like Flex Kruger, Nathan Eye, Kazuhiro Troy and Declan Alexander have all boosted their careers as a result of what this competition can do for them! Who will use it to take the next steps forward?!

Lance:
Before we get to the brackets, we have to go over the rules for this once-a-year competition!

The graphic appears on the DEFIAtron going over the rules of the tournament:

TAG PARTY IV RULES:

SIX TAG MATCHES FROM TWO BLOCKS EACH (BLOCK A, BLOCK B, BLOCK C)

FOLLOWING THOSE, THREE MATCHES TO CROWN THE WINNERS OF EACH BLOCK!

THE FINALS WILL BE A THREE-WAY ELIMINATION-STYLE TAG TEAM MATCH! THE WINNER WILL BE AWARDED TAG PARTY TROPHIES AS WELL AS THE $250,000 CASH PRIZE PRESENTED BY FAVOURED SAINTS!

-FIRST-ROUND MATCHES HAVE TEN-MINUTE TIME LIMIT. SECOND-ROUND MATCHES HAVE FIFTEEN MINUTES. AND NO TIME LIMIT FOR THE FINALS WHERE THERE MUST BE A WINNER! IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW DURING THE BLOCK ROUNDS, BOTH TEAMS WILL BE ELIMINATED!

DDK:
HUGE stakes! No teams want to be eliminated due to a draw and you have to conserve energy so time is of the essence in the opening rounds!

Lance:
And we are going to run down the teams now!

Box and Bigsby (Bronson Box / Felton Bigsby)

DDK:
We start with DEFIANCE’s only active Hall of Famer and former FIST Bronson Box! He teams with the BRAZEN powerhouse Felton Bigsby looking to restart his career after a few years away!

Team Flashy Stars (Eric Dane, Jr / Scotty Flash)

Lance:
Eric Dane Jr.! Scotty Flash! The amount of ego! The son of DEFIANCE’s founder Eric Dane and the host of DEF Radio… that I am not allowed to comment on any further due to previous litigation…

The Cunning Frenchies (The Flying Frenchie / “Cunning” Curt Cunning)

DDK:
A wrestling legend and Hall of Famer, The Flying Frenchie! He teams with former BRAZEN Star Cup holder and a finalist in last year’s Tag Party, the masked “Cunning” Curt Cunning! A real peanut-butter and chocolate pairing for tag teams in this tournament!

The Hound Dogs (David Fox / “The Hound” Aiden Harlow)

DDK:
Originally slated to be David Fox teaming with new BRAZEN star Aiden Harlow, Fox had to withdraw due to injury. The rowdy rocker Nicky Synz looks to team with Aiden Harlow and try and pull off the unthinkable!

Punch Drunk and Disorderly (Pat Cassidy / Punch Drunk Purcell)

Lance:
“Black Out” Pat Cassidy, a former two-time Unified Tag Team Champion, brings his main event tag team expertise to this competition! He teams with the current BRAZEN Onslaught Champion and one of heaviest hitters, quite literally, the 350-pound Punch Drunk Purcell!

Los Caidos (Victor Vacio / Gerardo Villalobos)

DDK:
The former BRAZEN Champion Victor Vacio leads the powerhouse of Los Caidos, the inaugural Onslaught Champion Gerardo Villalobos in what promises to be a deadly combination who doesn’t care about anyone’s well being!

Kraken Necks (Henry Keyes / FLAMBERGE)

Lance:
The LONGEST-REIGNING Southern Heritage Champion in history, Vae Victis’ Henry Keyes! The former Onslaught Champion and top title contender, the MMA specialist FLAMBERGE! The potential for destruction is high with this pairing!

Blow Us, We’re 8-Bit (High Flyer IV / Leyenda de Ocho)

DDK:
The former two-time BRAZEN Tag Team Champion and Favoured Saints Champion High Flyer IV! He teams with former BRAZEN Star Cup holder, the 8-Bit luchador, Leyenda de Ocho! Two very talented high flyers in our sport!

Elbows and Bows (Titaness / Brooklynn Rivera )

Lance:
The former Unified Tag Team Champion, “The Mother of Muscles” Titaness has already worked in BRAZEN with perhaps its deadliest female star, the knockout artist Brooklynn Rivera! Can their early chemistry yield the ultimate result of victory?

Windshield Wenches (Teresa Ames  / Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe)

DDK:
Who knows how these two will even work together? Teresa Ames, a former two-time Unified Tag Team Champions, teams with top female star and a woman who helped Siobhan Cassidy defeat her in a brutal street fight just a few weeks ago, Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe!

Team CLASH Origins (TA Cole / Reinhardt Hoffman)

Lance:
Two BRAZEN originals! TA Cole, the second to one of DEFIANCE’s top stars in Ned Reform looks to carve his own path to glory alongside a former rival, and the inaugural BRAZEN Champion, the technically-gifted Reinhardt Hoffman!

Team MURDER (Corvo Alpha / Killjoy)

DDK:
The last team doesn’t even SPEAK! But they could be frontrunners to take this whole thing! The NEW Southern Heritage Champion - the monster who ended the reign of terror that was Henry Keyes’ Southern Heritage title run - teams with the ONLY two-time BRAZEN Champion! The BEAST of Les Enfants Terribles, Killjoy!

After the rundown for all twelve teams, we get to the first match!

DDK:
And tonight, we’re going to kick it off with Block A action when we see the team of Box and Bigsby against the UNLIKELY team of Team Flashy Stars! Can Eric Dane Jr. and Scotty Flash who have had a combined three matches under the DEFIANCE banner come together and somehow pull off the upset of all upsets against DEFIANCE Hall of Famer Bronson Box and the powerful Texan, Felton Bigsby?

BLOCK A MATCH: BOX AND BIGSBY (Broson Box/Felton Bigsby) vs. TEAM FLASHY STARS (Eric Dane Jr./Scotty Flash)

♫ "God's Gonna Cut You Down" ('Ninja Tracks' Remix) by Johnny Cash  ♫

The show kicks off with none other than the DEFIANCE Hall of Famer! A THUNDEROUS ovation for Bronson Box! Not far behind him, big Felton Bigsby means business.

♫ "DNA" by Kendrick Lamar  ♫

After the two approach the ring, to the tunes of Kendrick Lamar, out comes ERIC DANE JR! And at his side, none other than DEF Radio’s own SCOTTY FLASH comes out. Dane stands on the ramp, but Scotty Flash tries to hog the camera. Dane gets in front of him to pose, then Scotty does the same. Box and Bigbsy can’t help but smirk.

Felton Bigsby starts off the action for his team with Eric Dane… who tags to Scotty. Dane takes a powder. Flash gulps and wishes that he had his buddy, Punch Drunk Purcell out, but he’ll be in the next match after this so he and Dane are on their own! Scotty tries a running clothesline, but only falls to the mat and hurts his arm, then stumbles back and tags Dane back in! Felton’s had enough and tags Bronson Box to a huge roar of cheers from The Faithful!

EDjr goes on the attack with a huge dropkick with great air! He stands up… but isn’t aware Box is behind him! Box spins him around and tries a clothesline, but Dane ducks! He tries a kick, but Boxer catches it and flips him backwards, only for Dane to land on his feet and jab Bronson’s good eye with a thumb! Dane laughs when he catches him off-guard and then tags Scotty! Both men try and jump at Bronson by running off the ropes… but he NAILS them both with a massive double clothesline on the way back! Felton runs into Dane with a HELL of a shoulder tackle that sends him flying outside the ring to gasps from the crowd!

And when Boxer grabs Scotty Flash by his arm to finish off the DEF Radio host… he taps IMMEDIATELY!

WINNERS: Box and Bigsby @ 2:25 via submission (wristlock)

Box looks confused, but referee Benny Doyle registers that as the official submission of the match and calls it! Scotty Flash nearly has a panic attack at ringside and DARTS up the ramp and to the backstage, nursing his arm! Meanwhile, Eric Dane Jr. is helped up by Angus Skaaland, who can’t help but facepalm at his client’s latest attempt to win this evening.

Lance:
Did… did Scotty Flash just submit to a basic wristlock? To save himself?

DDK:
Of all the ways to kick off Tag Party V, that was a memorable one for sure! Scotty Flash’s BRAZEN training appears to be uh… well, he needs more seasoning in the oven, I think. Meanwhile, Box and Bigsby move on to the finals of Block A later tonight where they’ll meet the winner of The Cunning Frenchies and The Hound Dogs!

Lance:
It’s back to the drawing board for Angus Skaaland and Eric Dane Jr, but coming up next, we go to Block B action! The Los Caidos tandem of the dangerous Victor Vacio and the massive Gerardo Villalobos team up to take on DEFIANCE’s “Black Out” Pat Cassidy and Scotty Flash’s… er, business associate in BRAZEN, the BRAZEN Onslaught Champion, Punch Drunk Purcell!

BLOCK B MATCH: PUNCH DRUNK & DISORDERLY (Pat Cassidy/Punch Drunk Purcell) vs. LOS CAIDOS (Victor Vacio/Gerardo Villalobos)

“GONNA BE A BLACKOUT!”

♫ “Gonna Be A Blackout” by The Dropkick Murphys ♫

“Black Out” Pat Cassidy is out from the back first in his new ring gear, followed shortly by pointing at the ropes! Out comes the fridge-like form in boxing gear known as the BRAZEN Onslaught Champion, Punch Drunk Purcell! Both men bump fists and then head to the ring! Once they arrive, they wait on their opponents.

♫ “Funeral March” by Chopin ♫

As dominant a force as PD&D promise to be, out comes Los Caidos in full forced! Victor Vacio leads the charge with big Gerardo Villalobos. Both Corey Nunez and Hugo Gonzalez follow behind them. Once all parties arrive, Pat starts with Victor… but then tags in the 6’6” and 330-pound Villalobos! He enters the ring, but Pat goes at the big man regardless! Full of fire, the former two-time Unified Tag Champion takes the fight to him with a flurry of rights! He connects with a leaping axe handle off the middle rope to stun him, then another one off the top rope!

The tag goes to Punch Drunk Purcell and the two men whip Gerardo to the ropes! Purcell doubles him over with a big body shot to the gut, then Pat with a knee lift! Vacio tries to come in, but Cassidy and Purcell hit a double shoulder block! PD&D have clearly been working out some tag team moves prior to this competition! The tag goes back to Pat, who goes for the ten-punch on Villalobos, but Corey Nunez is on the apron. He gets punched by Cassidy, but Villalobos THROWS him over the ropes to the floor! The Faithful are jeering as Hugo Gonzalez distracts the referee, allowing Vacio to throw Cassidy into the barricade and put the boots to him outside!

Back inside, Vacio gets a tag! Villalobos hits a spinebuster, then Vacio with a springboard moonsault for two on Cassidy! Punch Drunk is in his corner watching the action as Villalobos and Vacio tag in and out, taking turns putting the boots to Cassidy. Vacio hits another corner elbow and then a big arabian press for another two! The Faithful cheer loudly for the former two-time Unified Champ as Vacio tries to hit a superkick, but Cassidy spins him around into a Green Monster Bomb! (blue thunder bomb) Both men stagger to their corners. Vacio tags Gerardo… but it is too late as Pat is already in his corner…

TAG TO PUNCH DRUNK PURCELL!

The MASSIVE Purcell gets in and hits a big shoulder tackle on Gerardo and then follows up with body jabs! He whips Villalobos into the ropes and the two big men collide with clotheslines that stagger one another! Gerardo tries a splash in the corner that misses, but Purcell follows up with the King Hippo headbutt! The shot staggers the big man and then Purcell WOWS the crowd by running him over with a flying cross body called the King Hippo! He tries the cover, but it’s broken up by Vacio!

Pat Cassidy comes in and cuts off Vacio with a big Alabama slam! Villalobos is alone when Punch Drunk Purcell CRACKS him with Punch Drunk Love! (pop up right hand) and he staggers right into the Irish Goodbye (reverse STO)! Pat cuts off Hugo Gonzalez from making the save while Purcell makes the cover!

ONE! TWO! THREE!

WINNERS: Punch Drunk & Disorderly @ 9:32 via pinfall (Punch Drunk Love/Irish Goodbye combo)

Pat Cassidy and the Onslaught Champion Punch Drunk Purcell get their arms raised! Suddenly, both men are surprised by the appearance of Scotty Flash! Nursing an arm sling from earlier, he raises the hand of Purcell! Pat looks at him with an eyebrow, but Punchy insists that he’s cool. Pat shrugs and the group have their arms raised!

DDK:
Big win by Punch Drunk and Disorderly! Los Caidos had the numbers and a gameplan, but this team lives by the motto that everyone has a plan until they can punch you in the mouth!

Lance:
No doubt that high-level tag team success of Pat Cassidy will make this team an early favorite to win Tag Party V!

DDK:
Coming up next, we take it to C Block in the first-ever all-female tag team match in Tag Party V! Titaness and MMA influenced Brooklynn Rivera have already teamed together a few times in BRAZEN! Can they parlay that into early success into the next round against Titaness’ old rival, Teresa Ames, along with one of Teresa’s CURRENT rivals, Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe?!

BLOCK C MATCH: ELBOWS AND BOWS (Titaness/Brooklynn Rivera) vs. THE WINDSHIELD WENCHES (Teresa Ames/Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe)

♫ “My Name Is Thunder” by The Bloody Beetroots feat. JET ♫

The matriarch of Titanes Familia is out first, getting a loud response from the crowd. Behind her, Brooklynn Rivera of BRAZEN cranks her neck and then her knuckles knowing someone is gonna catch a beatdown if she has her way. They bump elbows with one another and head to the ring for the first Block C match of the evening!

♫ “Toxic” by Britney Spears ♫

Titaness can’t help but roll her eyes. It’s been a minute since she was the recipient of an unrequited obsession by Teresa Ames. That notwithstanding, she gets a BIG response and has been cleared, following a brutal street fight with Siobhan Cassidy on DEFtv 193! She rushes to the ring and keeps her head on a swivel as Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe of BRAZEN follows behind her at a distance. Teresa gets big cheers from The Faithful while Jocelyne gets jeers! The last time these two were together, Teresa had powerbombed her through a windshield so to say the self-proclaimed Windshields Wencehs will get along? That remains to be seen!

Rivera starts for her side while Ames wants in… but Blythe tags herself in! She goes right at Rivera with a running dropkick to try and throw the taller star off her game! She zips up and hits another, then tries for a DDT… but Rivera picks her up and kicks her with a big kick on the way down! Blythe rolls over and tags Teresa in against her will, but the much more experienced start goes in! She slides under an elbow by Rivera and cracks her with a pair of superkicks - one to the knee and one to the face to stun Rivera, followed by a sliding dropkick! She continues to wail on Rivera, but the powerhouse throws her off! The tag is made to Titaness and the almost-exes come face to face for the first time!

Titaness tries a pump kick, but Ames ducks and then comes back with forearm strikes to rock The Mother of Muscles. The Tasty Gurl goes low with a dropkick to the knee, then tries a downward spiral, but Titaness shoves her away and bounces back into Titan-knee-um (jumping knee strike!) Another tag to Brooklynn Rivera allows the woman known as Santa Muerte to hit underhook knee strikes followed by a big release exploder suplex for a two-count! All the while, Jocylyne Ingrid Blythe is laughing at the punishment being taken by Ames! Brooklynn tags in Titaness and the two land a pop-up into a high knee! Brooklynn makes the cover… BUT ONLY A TWO-COUNT!

Ames kicks out, but Blythe is now on her phone taking pictures and livestreaming the beatdown. She’s laughing until Brooklynn tries to hti the Goodnight Kiss, but the spinning back elbow misses and the downward spiral doesn’t! Teresa gets over to Blythe and tags out! Blythe is shocked when Teresa grabs her and pulls her into the ring as the legal woman just as Titaness gets the tag, then a HUGE spear on Blythe! The final tag is made once again by Titaness to Brooklynn Rivera and Titaness holds Blythe up…

GOODNIGHT KISS INTO CLASH OF THE TITANESS!

Brooklynn with the cover!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNERS: Elbows and Bows @ 7:24 via pinfall (Goodnight Kiss/Clash of the Titaness combo)

After the win, Titaness and Brooklynn Rivera have their hands raised by Carla Ferrari! They both take their leave while Teresa Ames has the last laugh over a woman that helped tried to screw her during her rivalry with Siobhan Cassidy!

DDK:
Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe and Teresa Ames were like oil and water out here while Titaness and Brooklynn Rivera showed their team in BRAZEN has been paying off! That Goodnight Kiss spinning back elbow into the Clash of the Titaness death valley bomb could spell trouble!

Lance:
Blythe should have been paying attention the competition in front of her, but Teresa made her pay and left her to the wolves! Now, Elbows and Bows meet the winner later tonight of Team MURDER and Team CLASH Origins later tonight!

DDK:
Up next, we have the team of The Cunning Frenchies - Hall of Famer and multiple-time World Champion The Flying Frenchie, teaming with the sneakiest man in BRAZEN, “Cunning” Curt Cunning against the new makeshift team of “The Frontman” Nicky Synz and “The Hound” Aiden Harlow aka The Hound Dogs! That match is up next in our second A Block match!

BLOCK A MATCH: THE CUNNING FRENCHIES (The Flying Frenchie/"Cunning" Curt Cunning) vs THE HOUND DOGS (Nicky Synz/Aiden Harlow)

♫ “Juke Joint Jezebel” by KMFDM ♫

The familiar red, white and blue laser show fires off and out comes The Flying Frenchie! Right behind him, the masked “Cunning” Curt Cunning taps his skull as he heads down the ramp. Along with him, as always, are the other members The Curt Cunning Experience, Curt Cunning Dos and Curt Cunning Tres! IT Cunning was in the finals last year with Ned Reform - a feat he wants to repeat with the vaulted legend in The Flying Frenchie!

♫ “Good F***king Music” by Solange (covered by Synyster Sledge) ♫

The perennial underdog, Nicky Synz, rocks out on his guitar for The Faithful as “The Hound” Aiden Harlow scans the crowd and throws his hands up. The pitbull-like Harlow charges towards the ring and slides inside with Synz behind him before both pose for The Faithful! After this, both wrestlers take their sides. The Flying Frenchie meets up with Nicky Synz to kick things off!

The bell rings and both men lock up with Frenchie taking control with a headlock. Synz tries to break free, but Frenchie pulls his hair to get him back into it! The legendary cheater BEAMS~! But still gets mad respect from the crowd as he holds Nicky in place. Nicky tries a back drop, but Frenchie rolls forward into a headlock! Nicky uses a leg scissors to break free! Both men get back to their feet when Nicky tries to steal the win an inside cradle for two, then a backslide for two… then as both competitors get back to their feet, Frenchie and Nicky get back to their feet! Nicky wants to tag Harlow as both members of the Cunning Dos and Tres leap on the apron… The OG Curt Cunning snatches him off the apron first! Nicky is shocked, then gets CRACKED as he turns around with a huge superkick followed by the Loire Valley Driver!

He goes up top…

GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNERS: The Cunning Frenchies @ 1:45 via pinfall

Aiden Harlow is in shock! He yells at the official, but he didn’t see any of what just happened because of the distraction. Frenchie himself looks unsure of what just happened as Curt Cunning gives him a thumbs up and a pat on the back, but he isn’t looking the gift horse in the mouth and the chance to be as fresh as possible for Bronson Box and Felton Bigsby later!

DDK:
WHOA! JUST LIKE THAT! THE FLYING FRENCHIE AND CURT CUNNING TAKE THIS ONE!

Lance:
Aiden Harlow didn’t even get a chance to tag in because he got pulled off the apron first thanks to Curt Cunning!

DDK:
Both Block A matches end in relatively quick fashion, meaning that the teams of Box and Bigsby and The Cunning Frenchies are going to be going into the Block A Finals on full gas tanks! And a first-time meeting between the legends that are Bronson Box and Flying Frenchie!

Lance:
Coming up next, we’ll find out who will be meeting Punch Drunk and Disorderly in the Block B Finals as one of the finalists last year, Kraken Necks - former BRAZEN Onslaught Champion FLAMBERGE and the longest-reigning Southern Heritage Champion in history, Henry Keyes, take on the team of… hehe, Blow Us, We’re 8-Bit. Former Favoured Saints and BRAZEN Tag Champ High Flyer IV and former BRAZEN Star Cup holder Leyenda de Ocho!

BLOCK B MATCH: KRAKEN NECKS (Henry Keyes/FLAMBERGE) vs. BLOW US, WE'RE 8-BIT (High Flyer IV/Leyenda de Ocho)

♫ “Stranger Fruit” by Zeal & Ardor ♫

Booing FILLS the DEFIANCE Wrestle-plex! Out comes perhaps the most hated man in DEFIANCE today - Henry Keyes. For the first time making an appearance without the Southern Heritage Championship, he’s ESPECIALLY fired up. Behind him, the former BRAZEN Onslaught Champion FLAMBERGE looks straight ahead, ready to choke anyone out that comes between he and the Tag Party V Finals!

♫ “The Best” by AWOLnation ♫

The music continues to play as both men come RUSHING down the ramp! The two high-flyer rush in! Keyes moves, but FLAMBERGE doesn’t and they both rush him with a double clothesline that sends the Frenchman flying out of the ring!Referee Hector Navarro calls for the bell to make the match official! Keyes rushes at both men with double clotheslines, but they both duck and execute front flips forward. When The Kraken turns around, they both ROCK him with a double superkick and send the VV member spilling through the ropes. At the same time, Leyenda de Ocho and High Flyer IV leap over the ropes to land on opposite sides of the ring and then hit simultaneous asai moonsaults to FLAMBO and Keyes!

The Faithful are on their feet as Blow Us, We’re 8-Bit come out of the gate with amazing high-flying synergy! LDO throws FLAMBO back into the ring and HF IV slides in behind him. HF IV hits a springboard 360 double axe-handle! LDO then hits a running senton followed by a shining wizard off the ropes for a two-count! Ocho gets up and readies a jump… but an ANGRY Keyes grabs LDO and snatches him out of the ring before slamming him face-first into the steep steps! He starts ripping at his mask and partially tears it near the left eye, revealing a streak of blood on the mask! The Faithful JEER Keyes for his actions, but The Kraken is in Terminator mode!

Keyes DESTROYS Leyenda de Ocho with a series of release german suplexes in the ring! FLAMBO gets a tag and he throws Ocho off the ropes for a Judo-style snapping headlock! He grinds his forearm into the bloody gash on The 8-Bit Battler’s forehead and gets jeers from The Faithful as well!  Keyes tags back in and CRACKS him with a Propellor Chop against his chest! Then another! Then another! Leyenda de Ocho gets taken apart by Keyes and then eats a fisherman suplex out of the corner that gets broken up by High Flyer IV! FLAMBERGE tags in and locks in a neck lock to try and end things, but LDO is able to fight out and hit a desperation springboard moonsault off the middle rope! LDO makes the tag to High Flyer IV!

Flyer jumps in with a springboard 360 into a Thesz Press, accompanied by a flurry of right hands just like his dad does it! HF IV hits an explosive springboard dropkick to knock Keyes off the apron, followed by a slingshot corkscrew plancha to the outside! HF IV leaps back in and nails a springboard cross body on top of FLAMBERGE… for two! The amazing high-flying flurry has the crowd on their feet as HF IV gears up to strike FLAMBERGE with a charging yakuza kick, only for FLAMBO to bail from the ring. High Flyer IV makes a tag to LDO and both men go after FLAMBERGE and Keyes with stereo dives… only to get cut off by stereo uppercuts from both men! Keyes gets the tag on LDO… Coin! Coin! Cover! FLAMBERGE blocks High Flyer IV from breaking up the cover!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNERS: Kraken Necks @ 9:42 via pinfall (Coin)

FLAMBERGE and Keyes have their arms raised in victory for the opening Block B match before they head to the back to prepare to clash with Punch Drunk and Disorderly a little later.

DDK:
High Flyer IV and Leyenda de Ocho put up a FIGHT here in the opening round! I almost thought they had it, but they went to the well once too often with their dives and it cost them!

Lance:
And did you see Keyes in that ring? He was a man POSSESSED and just destroyed Leyenda de Ocho throughout. LDO tried his best. We’ve seen this young man fight back plenty but Keyes has been at the top of his game for the past eighteen months!

DDK:
With that, Kraken Necks secures their spot in the Block B Finals! Remember when Pat Cassidy defeated Butcher Victorious at Acts of DEFIANCE, he told Sonny to tell him that he would be coming back for Round Two! Cassidy hasn’t forgotten that Henry Keyes defeated him last year to retain his Southern Heritage Championship. Tonight, he gets a chance for redemption!

Lance:
But before that, we have to find out who will go to the Block C Finals for Tag Party to join Elbows and Bows! It will be Team MURDER, who could be one of the favorites to take this whole tournament - the man who ended Henry Keyes’ record-setting run to become Southern Heritage Champion, Corvo Alpha, against the only man to hold the BRAZEN Championship twice, the monstrous Killjoy! They team up against Team CLASH Origins! Two BRAZEN OGs! TA Cole of DEFIANCE and the first-ever BRAZEN Champion, Reinhardt Hoffman!

BLOCK C MATCH: TEAM MURDER (Corvo Alpha/Killjoy) vs. TEAM CLASH ORIGINS (TA Cole/Reinhardt Hoffman)

♫ “Fur Elise” by Cole Rolland ♫

A long time ago, these two men feuded over the BRAZEN Championship. Tonight, they are partners. The arrogant right hand of Doctor Ned Reform steps out from behind the curtains first and surveys the crowd. Next to him, The 6’4” and 235-pound Reinhardt Hoffman walks out and shakes hands with Cole. With the TA leading the charge, Cole heads towards the ring. Once both men climb inside, they get ready for what’s to happen next.

♫ “Children of the Grave” by Black Sabbath ♫

The theme that played when he bested Keyes for the Southern Heritage Championship! The Faithful go WILD as out from the upper reaches of the crowd, Corvo Alpha - the monstrous 268-pound beast wearing the Southern Heritage Championship around his neck - and accompanied by the 6’10” and 390-pound Killjoy! The only man to hold the BRAZEN Championship twice walks behind Corvo and heads to the ring alongside his fellow non-speaking monstrosity. Once they reach the ring, they climb over the barricade and head into the ring! Cole and Reinhardt, for their credit, don’t look overwhelmed, but they just might be. Corvo and Killjoy stare at one another and it’s decided Corvo will start! TA Cole starts for his team.

The bell rings and Cole and Corvo circle up… but Reinhardt climbs into the ring to attack Corvo from behind! They both rush over quickly and knock Killjoy off the apron before going to focus on Corvo! They single out the new Southern Heritage Champion quickly with a flying uppercut from Hoffman, followed by a big boot by Cole! TA Cole then picks him up and hits a bridging german suplex on the SoHer Champion… but he kicks out! It seems Team CLASH Origins had a gameplan to jump the monsters before they could get going!

Cole tries to go for the Letter Jacket, but Corvo fights his way out with elbows, then hits a HUGE german suplex of his own to Cole! Cole gets tackled to the corner and hit with a number of shoulder thrusts before the tag is made to Killjoy! The largest man in this year’s field of competitors BIELS Cole across the ring! Hoffman tags himself in and then charges at Killjoy, taking the fight to the big man with a number of uppercuts, but Killjoy throws him to the ropes and hits a free fall drop! Hoffman hits the canvas, allowing Corvo to follow up with a spear! Killjoy runs the ring until Cole sneaks back in and takes the big man down with a chop block!

Cole and Reinhardt take turns working over the knee of Killjoy! A flurry of elbows from TA Cole allow Reinhard to tag in and land a knee drop to the exposed knee! The crowd jeers when TA Cole has the knee worked over. He hits a diving bulldog off the middle rope on the Beast of LET and gets a quick two-count! Killjoy tries to fight out of the corner! He chops at both men only to be stopped by a dragon screw from Reinhardt! He applies a cross knee lock, but the monster is able to fight out… and Corvo gets a tag!

The Southern Heritage Champion lands a big exploder suplex on Hoffman, followed by a snap release belly to belly on TA Cole! Both men are taken out to the floor when the beastly Corvo rushes and FLIES through the ropes to wipe out Cole with a suicide dive through the ropes! Reinhardt tries to sneak attack Corvo on the comeback with a knee trembler, but Killjoy catches him with a headbutt! Then stumbles… ALPHA CLUTCH!

Things go black for Hoffman the more he struggles! Cole gets cut off by a big running shoulder by Killjoy!

Then… Hoffman is unconscious!

DING DING DING!

WINNERS: Team MURDER @ 8:41 via referee stoppage (Alpha Clutch)

DDK:
And Team MURDER does it! Team CLASH Origins showed impressive cohesion tonight! They almost divided and conquered, but the voiceless monsters would not be denied! They go to round two and what an uphill battle it’s going to be for Elbows and Bows!

Lance:
That’s right! With all this, we have completed all opening around matches and we go to each Block final!

The DEFIAtron shows the remaining matches!

BLOCK A FINAL
BOX AND BIGSBY vs. THE CUNNING FRENCHIES

BLOCK B FINAL
PUNCH DRUNK & DISORDERLY VS. KRAKEN NECKS

DDK:
Remember that the winners of each block final are going to move on to the Tag Party V finals! Three-way elimination-rules tag match where the winning team will walk out with $250,000 out of their own pocket!  Up next, we're kicking it back to ringside for the Block A Finals! Two teams, each one with two of the most decorated and calculated veterans, clashing for the first time! Bigsby, a powerhouse brimming with potential! Cunning, a self-professed genius! Box and Bigsby against The Cunning Frenchies is up next!

BLOCK A FINALS MATCH

♫ “Juke Joint Jezebel” by KMFDM ♫

For the second time tonight, we get the familiar red, white and blue laser show and the fireworks this time! Once again, the crowd roars for The Flying Frenchie! Right behind him, the masked “Cunning” Curt Cunning, along with the rest of The Curt Cunning Experience, Curt Cunning Dos and Curt Cunning Tres follow down the ramp! Both men enter the ring and discuss more strategy for their opponent…

♫ "God's Gonna Cut You Down" ('Ninja Tracks' Remix) by Johnny Cash  ♫

The Wargod himself, the DEFIANCE Hall of Famer, takes in another MASSIVE ovation. Behind him, Felton Bigsby nods to his one-time mentor from the early BRAZEN days, then both head to the ring. The crowd goes nuts as Box and Bigsby enter the ring. Boxer is all business tonight and so is Frenchie. The crowd cheers before the two even lock up.

They both lock up and wow the crowd with a number of PHYSICAL technical exchanges! Boxer works the head, but Frenchie reverses into one of his own! The battle continues until Frenchie tries a roll-up, but Boxer reverses! The Wargod and the French legend continue going at it until the crowd is on their feet and Frenchie fires off an uppercut! Box recoils, then smiles and THROWS one! The two get into a stiff European uppercut battle that has The Faithful on their feet! This continues until Frenchie reverses one into a backslide, countered by Box! Fighting to a stalemate, Boxer and Frenchie try and tag their respective BRAZEN students in… but Cunning tries to do what he did in the first round to The Hound Dogs by pulling Felton off the apron…

But Felton is too strong and STOMPS on Cunning’s hand! Boxer tags him in and Bigsby makes Curt Cunning pay for it hard by THROWING him into the barricade as hard as he can! The barricade moves back several inches! Curt Cunning Dos tries to intervene, only for Bigsby to CLOCK him with a big clothesline, then takes care of Tres with a HUGE belly-to-belly suplex on the floor! Frenchie can only shrug at his partner’s stooges before Boxer attacks with a big headbutt! He tags Bigbsy and both men run Frenchie over with a double shoulder tackle! Houston Strong follows up with a big front powerslam for a solid two-count on the veteran!

Curt Cunning finally limps back to his corner as Bigsby tries another slam, only for Frenchie to catch him with a thumb to the eye and a DROP TOE HOLD into the middle rope! The tag is made to Curt Cunning, who nails Felton against the ropes with the Cunning Linguist superkick from the apron! Cunning leaps in, but gets a two-count when Felton SHOVES him off! The tag is made to Frenchie and both men take turns uppercutting Felton against the ropes. They both sweep him to the mat and Frenchie hits the Deja Vu (running senton followed by standing moonsault) for another two! Bronson Box watches his massive pupil get worked over by Frenchie and Cunning some more when Cunning applies the Sly Fox Lock! He grinds back on the crossface… but Bigsby POWERS out and SLAMS him to the mat with a side slam!

Bigsby gets the tag to Boxer to a HUGE ovation!

Box gets in the ring and LEVELS Cunning with a blistering knife-edge chop to the chest! He grabs a wrist and chops him across the neck several times before facewashing him in the corner with his boot! Boxer grabs him for a delayed vertical suplex! Frenchie tries to jump in to save his partner, but Bigsby gets him up…

STEREO DELAYED SUPLEXES!

Boxer grabs Cunning…

BOSTON MASSACRE!

Cunning has no choice but to tap!

WINNERS: Box and Bigsby @ 11:15 via submission (Boston Masscre)

After the match, the team of Box and Bigsby get their hands raised. Frenchie limps back in and offers Box a quick handshake before both veterans tease they’re gonna jab a thumb into the other’s eye! They both share a quick nod of respect before Frenchie leaves the ring and ringside attendants help Cunning out.

DDK:
What a battle that was! Bronson Box and The Flying Frenchie lock up! And what a great sequence at the end! It’s Box and Bigsby who become the first team to get to the finals tonight!

Lance:
This powerhouse tandem definitely has the credentials and the knowhow to make it to the top! Maybe a little bit of recency bias on my part, but they could win this all!

DDK:
I feel like any team here could at this point, partner, but hard to bet against Box and Bigsby! Coming up next, we’re going to take it to the Block B Finals! Kraken Necks try and recreate their success from last year when they take on the newcomer team of Punch Drunk and Disorderly! That match is next!

BLOCK B FINALS MATCH

♫ “Stranger Fruit” by Zeal & Ardor ♫

A second storm of jeering fills the DEFIANCE Wrestle-plex! Out comes perhaps the most hated man in DEFIANCE today - Henry Keyes. FLAMBERGE matches his partner’s intensity as the two storm towards the ring! Once they reach the inside, they’re ready to get things underway!

♫ “Gonna Be A Blackout” by The Dropkick Murphys ♫

For the second time tonight, “Black Out” Pat Cassidy comes out and followed shortly by pointing at the Faithful, ready to punch someone in the mouth. And speaking of, once again comes the BRAZEN Onslaught Champion, Punch Drunk Purcell and behind him, their new friend, Scotty Flash, still nursing an arm sling from his earlier run-in with Bronson Box in the show opener now here as moral support for best BRAZEN buddy, Punchy. Once the eclectic group hit the ring… KRAKEN NECKS POUNCE!

FLAMBERGE nails Punchy with a penalty kick before he can get into the ring as Pat Cassidy jumps on Henry Keyes and start duking it out! The fight is wild for the two men going at it before FLAMBERGE joins in to make things a two-on-one sitch. The proud Bostonian hits anything that moves and fights back, but the numbers game is too much. The Neck Collector called FLAMBERGE strikes him with solid kicks to the chest… but Punch Drunk Purcell enters the ring and CLUBS FLAMBO with a big clothesline! Keyes attacks Punchy, but the Round Mound of Ground and Pound stuns him with body shots and that allows Cassidy to run and hit a big charging clothesline to knock Keyes out of the ring!

The hot-headed Punchy goes outside the ring and he charges full-on towards Keyes, but The Kraken sidesteps…

THUNK!

…and Punchy hits the ring post! Keyes then grabs his arm and then RAMS it right into the nearby steel steps! Anything to compromise his biggest asset, which is his punching power. The Kraken gets Purcell back into the ring. The tag is made to FLAMBERGE and the judo expert knows exactly what he has to do when he delivers stinging kicks to the arm and then applies a tight jujigatame armbar!

Scotty Flash is at ringside cheering on his best BRAZEN buddy while he’s locked up in the armbar by FLAMBO. The big man tries to shake him off, but the pitbull-like style of The French Phenom isn’t making things easy. When Punchy gets to the ropes… BAM! Keyes delivers a HARD kick that rattles him! FLAMBERGE makes another tag and Keyes enters the ring to strike down Purcell with a Bell Clap! This severely disorients Punchy and allows another tag to FLAMBO. FLAMBERGE to follow up with a jumping roundhouse kick to the side of the head! FLAMBERGE jumps on top for the cover!

ONE! TWO! TH… NO!

The Onslaught Champion powers out! Cassidy tries to get the tag, but he gets struck by a forearm from Keyes before he can tag! He and FLAMBO continue to work over Punchy and it takes both men to whip him to the ropes. They toss him, but he breaks up a double clothesline…

KING HIPPO CROSSBODY!

Punchy wipes out both men with the massive 350-pound crossbody! The Faithful roar with approval as The Green-eyed Wild Man rolls over…

TAG TO PAT CASSIDY!

The Scrapper from Southie rushes in and nails a big clothesline on FLAMBERGE! The another off the ropes before he nails Henry Keyes! Both men end up in opposite corners… Splash of Jameson to Keyes! Splash of Jameson to FLAMBO! The former Onslaught Champion gets picks up against the ropes and hits a kick to the solar plexus before unleashing an Alabama slam!

ONE! TWO!

BROKEN UP BY KEYES!

Keyes and Cassidy SLUG it out in the middle of the ring and continue to battle it out until Keyes gets the better of the exchange by raking the eyes and a kick to the knee! He tries to use the Coin, but Pat fights up and hits a big headbutt to the side of the head! FLAMBERGE clips him up with a big roundhouse kick!

ONE! TWO! NO!

Pat kicks out! FLAMBERGE tries to lock in Marie Antoinette and has the submission on Pat, but he fights back! He powers him up into the air…. Punch Drunk Purcell enters the ring and NAILS him with the Punch Drunk Love! FLAMBERGE staggers into the Irish Goodbye! Pat makes the cover as Punch Drunk Purcell blocks Keyes from entering the ring!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNERS: Punch Drunk and Disorderly @ 13:36 via pinfall (Punch Drunk Love/Irish Goodbye combo)

Cassidy balls up a fist and throws it high in the air as he and Punch Drunk Purcell have won the B Block! Scotty Flash cheers on Pat and Punchy as they end the match with arms raised by Hector Navarro! Keyes is IRATE at ringside! He KICKS the steel steps over and shoves down the timekeeper at ringside!

DDK:
PUNCH DRUNK AND DISORDERLY OVERCOME! THEY WIN THE B BLOCK AND CEMENT THEIR TICKET TO THE FINALS OF TAG PARTY V!

Lance:
Kraken Necks definitely showed out tonight! They took the majority of the offense in this match, working over Punch Drunk Purcell, but that tag team experience we’ve talked about with Pat Cassidy has REALLY paid off for this team!

DDK:
That it has! And we have one last match to go! The C Block Finals between Team MURDER and Elbows and Bows! Can Titaness and Brooklynn Rivera pull off what would have to be a huge upset against two of the most dangerous men in DEFIANCE and BRAZEN respectively in Corvo Alpha and Killjoy? That match is coming up right now as we to go the ring for the introductions!

BLOCK C FINALS MATCH

♫ “My Name Is Thunder” by The Bloody Beetroots feat. JET ♫

For the second time of the evening, the theme of Titanes Familia plays. Titaness and Brooklynn Rivera both bump elbows in a sign of solidarity before hitting the ring. The wall they have to overcome in order to make it to the Tag Party V finals is high, but they appear ready. The Mother of Muscles and The Anathestist get ready for the monsters to hit the ring.

♫ “Children of the Grave” by Black Sabbath ♫

The Faithful cheer on their opponents! WILD as out from the upper reaches of the crowd, Corvo Alpha wears the Southern Heritage Championship around his neck proudly! Behind him, the 6’10” and 390-pound Killjoy looks ahead to the ring! The only man to hold the BRAZEN Championship twice walks in lockstep with Corvo down the stairs among the fanbase until they get to the ring. Once they reach the squared circle, both teams look ready to try and make it to the Tag Party V Finals!

After the bell rings, it is shocking that Brooklynn Rivera wants to start off with Corvo! The MMA-trained Rivera goes for the legs and lands a stiff roundhouse kick to the head of Corvo, staggering the beast! But when Santa Muerte tries to hit a Goodnight Kiss early, Corvo moves and THROWS her overhead with the belly-to-belly suplex! The monsters do not waste time! Killjoy gets the tag and holds Rivera up before dropping her with a violent body slam! A second one drives the air out of her! When Killjoy pulls her up for a third, she tries to fight and catchest the Beast of LET with swift elbows to the face, allowing Titaness to get the tag! The Mother of Muscles spears the back of Killjoy’s leg quickly! The same one that was worked earlier in the evening by Hoffman and Cole!

Elbows and Bows have their chance when Brooklynn connects as Killjoy is brought down to a knee and hits a running knee to the face, followed by Titaness nailing Titan-Knee-um! Titaness makes the quick cover!

ONE!

TWO… NO!

Killjoy powers her off! Elbows and Bows try to end the match quickly! Titaness tries to use her strength. At different points in her career, she has been able to hoist The Game Boy and Max Luck in a firewoman’s carry… but Killjoy is too strong and shoves her away!

DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!

Killjoy hoists up Rivera…

The Freefall!

He hooks the leg of Rivera!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

WINNERS: Team Murder @ 5:52 via pinfall (FreeFall vertical suplex driver)

In relatively quick fashion, Team MURDER made it to the Tag Party V Finals by sheer overwhelming fashion! Titaness crawls over to help Brooklynn Rivera out of the ring, but the team of Elbows and Bows

DDK:
What a finish! Elbows and Bows went all or nothing there trying to actually use that same Goodnight Kiss/Clash of the Titaness combo on Killjoy, but he was just too massive! Now Team MURDER becomes the last piece of the puzzle that is the Tag Party V finals!

Lance:
Elbows and Bows’ team in BRAZEN has done very well for itself and has nothing to be ashamed of tonight! But Corvo Alpha is on the roll of his career right now and Killjoy remains perhaps the deadliest monster ever produced by BRAZEN!

DDK:
What a VICIOUS collision we have at the end! Box and Bigsby! Punch Drunk and Disorderly! And now, Team MURDER! Which of these three teams will walk away with the crown of Tag Party V tonight! We will find out after this quick break!

TAG PARTY V FINALS

After a quick ad break for the upcoming Germany tour, the camera rests upon Favoured Saints CEO David Danielson, along with BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment at ringside with what has become the traditional Tag Party V trophies, along with a novelty check of $250,000 that will go to winning team of tonight’s competition!

Lance:
Welcome back to Tag Party V coming up next, we have finally arrived at the finals! At ringside, we have both Favoured Saints CEO David Danielson and we have BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment, here to award the trophies and the $250,000 to the winning team of tonight’s match!

DDK:
Indeed, partner. Throughout the night, thre . Block A Winners, Box and Bigsby. Block B Winners, Punch Drunk and Disorderly. Block C Winners, Team MURDER. One team is walking away out of this elimination-rules three-way tag team match with the annual Tag Party trophies and the $250,000 cash prize presented by DEFIANCE’s parent company, Favoured Saints!

Lance:
DEFIANCE Hall of Famer Bronson Box and BRAZEN powerhouse Felton Bigsby. Former two-time Unified Tag Team Champion “Black Out” Pat Cassidy and the current BRAZEN Onslaught Champion Punch Drunk Purcell. Current Southern Heritage Champion Corvo Alpha and the only former two-time BRAZEN Champion Killjoy! Which combination takes it? We now go to the finals up next!

♫ "God's Gonna Cut You Down" ('Ninja Tracks' Remix) by Johnny Cash  ♫

The Wargod himself, the DEFIANCE Hall of Famer Bronson Box takes in his third big ovation, along with Felton Bigsby, the Block A Winners! They reach the ring and await the forthcoming challengers to arrive.

♫ “Gonna Be A Blackout” by The Dropkick Murphys ♫

For the third time tonight, “Black Out” Pat Cassidy is still fired up and ready to take yet another tag team accolade to go along with the many achieved with the now-retired Brock Newbludd as the Saturday Night Specials! The BRAZEN Onslaught Champion, Punch Drunk Purcell, has his left arm taped up after the damage done by Kraken Necks during the course of the B Block finals. Behind them Scotty Flash in arm sling is still riding with the duo to provide moral support after his team imploded at the start of the show. Boxer growls at Scotty Flash at ringside, who tries not to make eye contact with The Wargod.

♫ “Children of the Grave” by Black Sabbath ♫

And for the third time, possibly the most destructive combination of Tag Party V is marching out from the audience in the DEFIANCE Wrestleplex! The monsters march over the barricade and pay no attention to The Faithful. Once they arrive, the lineup of BRAZEN’s latest crop of monsters is a spectacle.

5’11” and 280 of Felton Bigsby.

6’1” and 351 of Punch Drunk Purcell.

6’10” and 390 of Killjoy.

The match starts with Felton Bigsby against Punch Drunk Purcell! The two bulls SMACK into one another, but neither leaves their feet! Purcell and Bigsby hit again, but it’s second verse, same as the first! A third time is attempted, but Felton charges off the ropes and then slams himself with a flying shoulder tackle that gets Purcell off his feet! Felton gets up and roars as he tags in Boxer! The Hall of Famer enters the ring with both men cornering Purcell in the corner. The BRAZEN Onslaught Champion gets SMACKED with a massive chop from Box! Boxer stuns the champion, but suddenly gets taken down with a Bald Bull headbutt! That shocks The Faithful and Bronson is stunned but damage has been done to both men! Purcell tries to shake the chop off long enough to tackle Bronson to the corner for Cassidy to make the tag!

Both men launch Bronson off the ropes, but he fights back! Chop for Pat! Chop for Bronson! The Wargod fights them off, but Killjoy reaches out and tags himself in to the gasps of many. The only two-time BRAZEN Champion steps over the ropes, but Cassidy doesn’t give him an inch and charges at him to fight with a flurry of punches! The massive Killjoy shakes them off and pushes Cassidy aside, flooring him with a big boot! Purcell charges in again and tries to save his partner, but Killjoy is able to BLAST Purcell off his feet with a wild clothesline! Bigsby climbs in and tries his luck, but gets picked up and DROPPED with a huge sidewalk slam!

Finally, Boxer tries his luck and CHOPS the beast! Again! Again! Again! Again!

The blows stagger the monster back and Box tries a whip, but Killjoy reversed and responds with just ONE big standing clothesline that levels the Hall of Famer! The Faithful are shaken up as Killjoy shouts out under his mask and shows exactly why he has made Les Enfants Terribles one of the top groups in BRAZEN history! Corvo gets the tag and then sees both Purcell and Bigsby coming around on the outside…

SUICIDE DIVE!

The beastly Corvo flies through the ropes with no trouble at all and catches both Houston Strong and the Round Mound of Ground and Pound with the dive! The BRAZEN beasts get wiped out as Corvo goes back into the ring and spears Cassidy out of his boots! Cover!

ONE!

TWO!

NO!

Cassidy kicks out! Corvo quickly pushes him back into the corner with Killjoy waiting for the tag. The massive Native American monster steps over the ropes and crushes Pat with a big splash against the corner! Before Cassidy can collapse, he scoops up The Scrapper From Southie and hits a huge running powerslam out of the corner!

ONE!

TWO!

Another kickout by Pat!

CASSIDY! CASSIDY! CASSIDY! CASSIDY!

Team MURDER looks absolutely unstoppable in the moment when Killjoy picks up Pat and tries for the FreeFall that secured their spot in the finals… but Pat fights out and behind Killjoy! The monster turns to charge, but comes up empty in a corner as Cassidy moves then scores with a leaping DDT to finally get Killjoy off his feet for the first time! The Scrapper from Southie reaches out to anyone available… and gets Boxer!

The Hall of Famer charges at Killjoy…

GOD’S FIERY RIGHT HAND!

The masked monster has a claw locked on! Boxer hasn’t forgotten! Corvo tries to stop Box from stopping his partner, but Felton Bigsby SPEARS Corvo through the ropes and out to the floor!

RRAAAAAAHHH!

When Bronson sees Punch Drunk Purcell go of the claw long enough for Punch Drunk Purcell to turn around…

PUNCH DRUNK LOVE!

Killjoy gets ROCKED with a mammoth discus punch from the former boxing champion! He staggers into Pat Cassidy…

IRISH GOODBYE!

The leaping reverse STO finally slays the giant! Finally, Felton gets the tag from Boxer, then DRILLS KillJoy with a massive spear!

ONE!

TWO!

ELIMINATED: TEAM MURDER

DDK:
WHAT A TOURNAMENT FOR TEAM MURDER, BUT WE’RE NOW DOWN TO TWO! BOX AND BIGSBY OR PUNCH DRUNK AND DISORDERLY?!

Lance:
It took ALL FOUR MEN to slay Killjoy, but Corvo Alpha and Killjoy have finally been eliminated! We are down to the final two!

Bronson Box locks eyes with Pat Cassidy, telling the Scrapper from Southie to bring it. Cassidy spits off to the side and looks forward to the opportunity to test his mettle against one of the best in DEFIANCE to do it!

Punch Drunk Purcell stares down Felton Bigsby and the two come nose to nose…

AND ALL FOUR MEN SLUG IT OUT IN THE RING TO A HUGE POP FROM THE FAITHFUL!

The Scrapper from Southie and The Wargod continue to brawl! Felton clubs away at Purcell with a number of forearms across the back while Purcell fights back with a number of jabs to the body! Cassidy is trading right hands against Boxer’s chops!

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK!

Cassidy’s chest is beet red, but he continues to fight back and throws an extra-harsh right that even the mighty Hall of Famer feels against his iron jaw! He stumbles back with Cassidy staring at The Wargod, nailing him with a Splash of Jameson! Boxer is stunned in the corner! Cassidy goes for one more… only to be caught by a one armed side slam! Boxer goes right into the cover and tries for the $250,000 cash prize!

ONE!

TWO!

But Purcell BLASTS Bigsby and sends him flying into Box to break up the cover! Scotty Flash is cheering on Purcell from ringside still in the sling and cries out for Punch Drunk and Disorderly to fight back! Purcell pulls Cassidy to his corner and then makes the legal tag, while Boxer goes to the corner where Bigsby rolls off to make the tag! Both monsters go at it just like before with Felton running into Purcell with a big shoulder! He charges again…

ROPE A DOPE!

Purcell hits probably the most technical move he’s displayed all evening with a huge Olympic Slam!

ONE!

TWO!

BOXER BREAKS IT UP!

Boxer goes wild on Purcell, but Cassidy comes back in to save his partner with a clubbing shot to the back! Boxer CRACKS Cassidy with a palm strike in retaliation, but when the veteran charges, Cassidy moves and then Purcell joins in with a running double clothesline to get The Wargod out of the ring! Pat charges at his corner and gets the tag by Purcell, allowing the BRAZEN Onslaught Champion the one big opportunity needed….

PUNCH DRUNK LOVE ON BIGSBY…

INTO SHOCK AND AWE!

The pop-up punch stuns Bigsby, but not into the Irish Goodbye… but Brock Newbludd’s finisher, the Shock and Awe! Not as pretty as his partner, but just as effective with the bridging dragon suplex!

ONE!

Boxer is back up…

TWO!

He BARELY sneaks past Purcell…

THREE!

But gets there just a second too late!

DING DING DING!

RRRRRRAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

♫ “Gonna Be A Blackout” by The Dropkick Murphys ♫

Pat Cassidy rolls off of Felton as Bronson Box hangs his head angrily, coming THIS close to stopping the cover! After a CHAOTIC main event, head official Benny Doyle raises the hands of both the beaten, battered, exhausted, but victorious team!

Darren Quimbey:
HERE ARE YOUR WINNERS OF TAG PARTY V… THE BRAZEN ONSLAUGHT CHAMPION PUNCH DRUNK PURCELL… “BLACK OUT” PAT CASSIDY… PUNCH DRUNK AND DISORDERLY!

Lance:
PUNCH DRUNK AND DISORDERLY WINS! AND PAT WON IT WITH BROCK NEWBLUDD’S SHOCK AND AWE! A SPECIAL NOD TO HIS RETIRED TAG TEAM PARTNER!

DDK:
CASSIDY AND PURCELL TAKE IT HOME! PAT CASSIDY PROMISED A NEW BEGINNING AFTER HIS TAG TEAM PARTNER, BROCK NEWBLUDD, HAD TO RETIRE DUE TO INJURIES, AND THIS IS A WONDERFUL START! TONIGHT, CASSIDY WINS TAG PARTY V WITH ONE OF BRAZEN’S RISING STARS, PUNCH DRUNK PURCELL AND IS NOW $250,000 RICHER!

Before the celebration can go on, Bronson yanks the arm of Pat Cassidy around to confront him, same with Bigsby and Purcell! Both teams stare one another down in a tense moment…

Then Boxer offers a handshake. Pat takes it before Box nods silently and leaves the ring by helping Felton out of the ring to head up the ramp to let tonight’s winners have this moment.

Lance:
Box and Bigsby could have easily won this as well, but Pat Cassidy’s tag team experience was the difference maker tonight!

Gold and silver confetti begins to rain down from the rafters as Favoured Saints CEO David Danielson and BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment… and Scotty Flash… enter the ring to award the check to Cassidy, along with the Tag Party V person-sized trophies. Purcell looks legitimately shocked by six-foot tall trophy while Cassidy laughs.

DDK:
We conclude tonight’s special Tag Party V broadcast with Punch Drunk and Disorderly as this year’s Tag Party V winners and now, we’ve all got planes to catch! Coming this week, DEFtv hails from the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart, Germany! For Lance Warner, I am “Downtown” Darren Keebler! Thank you all and we will see you later this week for DEFtv 194 as DEFIANCE heads to Germany! Good night, everybody!

One final shot shows Purcell standing on one turnbuckle and Scotty Flash now trying to hold the trophy while his arm is still in a highly questionable sling. The other side shows “Black Out” Pat Cassidy raising the $250,000 check in the sky, promising that drinks are on Favoured Saints tonight!
