SuperDEFFan64 Title Talk
BRAZEN Championship: “The Professional” Leon Van Zandt did everything he could to wrestle the BRAZEN Championship away from FELLOW BIG MAN LIKE ME “Houston Strong” Felton Bigsby! For almost twenty minutes, he chipped away at the knees of Bigsby, but Houston Strong dominated a lot of the early matchup with a number of power moves including a powerslam on the floor! It was a battle of each man working a body part (LVZ on a knee, Bigsby on a back)! The Professional had the Sugar Hold locked in late, but Bigsby’s partner in Money Talks - Adrian Payne - distracted the official, allowing Jane Katze to use brass knucks! Something tells me this war isn’t over between LVZ and Bigsby!
BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: “The Problem Solver” Adrian Payne retained his title over one-half of the former BRAZEN Tag Team Champions, Derrick Huber in another HOSSFITE! BRAZEN’s Big Bois Title was hard fought again! One-half of the record-setting veteran tag team champions used experience to corner Payne a few times, but a chance to hit his muscle buster called The Odds Are Against You, but unfortunately, he was unable to get Payne up for the move! But Payne was able to later use an exposed turnbuckle followed by the Stay Down powerslam to keep his gold! Money Talks have made a true impact this week between laying out the massive rising star tag team of Rain City Ronin, but also by retaining their singles titles!
BRAZEN Women’s Championship: The first title run of luchadora Bonita en Rosa is off to a great start! The rising star, “Black Cat” Alisha Carter got her first shot at the gold and showed off her athletic prowess during the course of the bout! She almost had the title won with her feet on the ropes, but the official caught what she was doing! While she was distracted by screaming at the official, Rosa took her down with the Kiss From A Rosa submission and got the win! A first defense in the books! After the match, Bonita en Rosa was proud to announce that she has a sister that will be making her debut on the next BRAZEN Double Shot, Bonita En Rosa II!
BRAZEN Tag Team Championships: Rezistance members The Amazing Amarettos - along with Suzie, of course - used a little bit of sleight of hand aka MAGIC~! (some may call it cheating, though) to retain their gold again, this time over Sainted By The Storm! In a battle of pirates vs magicians, the pirates had the early advantage by hitting double-team moves all over on Carlo and Gomez, but late in the match, they used a distraction via throwing playing cards all over the ring - and brass knuckles - to pull off the win!
BRAZEN Star Cup: Much like Bonita en Rosa, the first title defense is now in the books for “The Hound” Aiden Harlow! The pitbull-like mentality of one Harlow and the only man to defeat Felton Bigsby since his return to BRAZEN defeated the aggressive Sun-Twist Skylar 2-1 falls to retain The Cup! And he’s already got no shortage of challengers as will be recapped below in the section marked…
SuperDEFScoops!
--After the last several months of scrapping back and forth, things have finally come to a rest between Midas Mancini and former BRAZEN Champion Nick “Lotto” Otto! While Otto’s personal “independent contractor” 1099 defeated Mancini’s own enforcer/Getaway Driver, Getaway Jones in No DQ brawl, it was Midas Mancini and Otto going to war in a twenty-minute steel cage match! After going 1-1 against each other in big matches including Otto stealing a win from Mancini to advance in the BRAZEN Championship contender’s tournament, Mancini got his revenge at long last by hitting Otto with the Golden Sky senton bomb through a table from off the cage! Both men got a standing ovation for their efforts and with this win, many believe Midas has earned a shot at the BRAZEN Championship! We’ll see if the self-proclaimed Golden Child of BRAZEN can make good to take the title from Bigsby!
--Like I said, Aiden Harlow has no shortage of challengers! The Hound has already been issued challenges from former BRAZEN Star Cup holder “Cunning” Curt Cunning, Brodie Hellyeah AND Edgar (w/SCARY ASS PUPPET LARRY™)! The Hound’s only response to those challengers was to bring them all one by one and he’ll be happy to tackle them to the ground and get Muzzled. See, it’s funny because his crossface submission is called Th eMuzzle and… shut up, it’s funny.
--Speaking of, Edgar has been receiving some GREAT positive feedback by DEFIANCE management for both his ventriloquist skills and work and putting on some great matches, capping off with the biggest win of his BRAZEN career over former BRAZEN Champ and Tag Team Champion BIGBOSS Batts! Big things are said to be in his future!
--"Fair Play" Dabney Doubleday makes his long-awaited debut with a relatively quick submission victory over former Olympic gold medalist for swimming, "The Tall Drink of Water" Aury Phillips! Aury is still struggling to get a win so far despite some great credentials and Doubleday made quick work of him with a FREAKY submission I've never seen before, the Lazy Susan! After a stint in PRIME, Dabney has joined DEFIANCE and is already getting attention between this and getting in the face of big names such as Bronson Box and Edward White! Keep your eyes on this guy!
-The Aerial Artists won a big eight-person tag team match over OnlyFlips and with that, they have laid out the challenge to face The Amazing Amarettos for the BRAZEN Tag Team Titles! The 19-year-old high-flying prodigy Antonio Prince and newfound friend, the powerful luchador Misil (and their friends, who are Wrestling Statues, because wrestling, of course) have been impressing and feel now is the time to hunt for more gold! However… the Dasher Siblings have also been undefeated and have called out for a title match as well so they can get that bag! To that end, BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment has declared a triple threat match will happen at the next Double Shot! Let’s see if The Amazing Ameretto’s have enough magic to pull this trick off!
--While Derrick Huber didn’t win in his bid for the BRAZEN Onslaught Championship, Adam Roebuck issued a challenge of his own and will be taking on “The Problem Solver” on the next Double Shot with the title on the line! He’ll have to wait until 1099 gets the shot he earned first, but The House are far from done showing the new generation of talent that they can still have a place among BRAZEN!
--NEW FEUD ALERTS: The undefeated blue chipper Ryan Murdock who has been kicking faces off show after show has now earned the attention of Mark Luck… who now wishes to go by the name Mark “Fire” Luck! Ryan Murdock was called out by Mark by saying he could defeat his opponent in faster time than he could… and he did so by one second! He called Ryan Murdock to the ring on Night Two to congratulate him. He didn’t get a hand, but he DID get a Route 202 to the face! On the next BRAZEN show, Murdock will face Mark “Fire” Luck!
--HurriJane and the former BRAZEN Women’s Champion Jocylene Ingrid Blythe fought to a double countout when Blythe tried to get back in the ring, only for the rising new women’s star keeping her out of the ring! HurriJane wanted to get her hands on The Comments Section member, but Blythe fled from the BRAZEN Studios and was heard muttering something about “fearing for her life.” Rest assured things aren’t over between these ladies!
--Both “The Piano Woman” Brenda Renetti and the former BRAZEN Tag Team Champion Brooklynn Rivera won their respective matches and now, the two are on a collision course! Renetti laid out a challenge for anyone to face it and Rivera stepped up! Either way, Bonita en Rosa’s title aspirations could be in grave danger!
--In a rematch of the BRAZEN Championship Contender’s tournament, former BRAZEN Champions “One Shot” Jack Halcyon and “The Lost Cause” Victor Vacio, it was Vacio taking the win this time with a chain-assisted right hand behind the official’s back! With the scores tied at one win a piece, Halcyon demanded a rubber match between the two men and it has been granted by Cappy himself! In a battle of two top dogs in different eras of BRAZEN, who’s coming out on top?!
