SuperDEFFan64 Title Talk

BRAZEN Championship: Another night, another successful defense for the seemingly unstoppable FELLOW BIG MAN LIKE ME “Houston Strong” Felton Bigsby! Midas Mancini has been riding a career high since defeating former BRAZEN Champion Nick “Lotto” Otto in a weaponized steel cage match to end their rivalry… however, Midas came CLOSE to winning the title after hitting Golden Sky senton bomb, the same move that defeated Otto. Katze led Felton’s hand to the bottom rope! Midas tried a second Golden Sky, only for Bigsby to be ready with a lariat on the way down! He hit the Houston Strong dominator and retained the title! Felton Bigsby has said he and Adrian Payne will continue their success across two rosters, meanwhile Midas Mancini promised this wouldn’t be the last the pair heard from he and Getaway Jones!

BRAZEN Women’s Championship: Now to be referred to as Bonita en Rosa I, the BRAZEN Women’s Champion retained her title against veteran star and former LoC and jOlt Women’s Champion Sarah Winterton with what has become her new go-to submission, the Kiss From A Rose! Next up, Bonita en Rosa has to now deal with former BRAZEN Tag Team Champion Brooklynn Rivera! Rivera has had opportunities at the gold slip through her fingers in the past, but as sharp as she’s been, can she defeat the young luchadora? More on Bonita en Rosa II later!

BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: Former BRAZEN Onslaught Champion 1099? No problem for “The Problem Solver” Adrian Payne. Once again, the former olympic gold medal powerlifter has shown why he’s such a force to be reckoned with among both the BRAZEN and DEFIANCE rosters! Former BRAZEN Champion and 1099’s “employer”, Nick “Lotto” Otto tried to run interference, but Katze and Felton Bigsby played the equalizer. A quick shot off the apron to Otto led 1099 to hit a chokeslam for a nearfall, but a second attempt was countered into Stay Down, which 1099 had no choice but to do in this HOSSFITE! The Blood Diamonds’ hold over the top championships in BRAZEN continues!

BRAZEN Tag Team Championships: And so does the reign of The Amazing Amarettos! The reign of the blackballed Vegas magicians continues to spell success and they manage to defeat longtime BRAZEN veterans, High Investigations, in order to keep the gold following Carlo pinning Eddie Cheno with Gomez holding his legs down beyond the sight of the official! But the next title challenger for The Amazing Amarettos is none other than Safety Sucks! Sgt. Safety and Count Novick have racked up some BRAZEN wins on the past couple of Double Shots and with Count Novick as a former champion, the DEFIANCE cult favorites have a shot at the titles!

BRAZEN Star Cup: The reign of The Hound continues with a submission win over a former BRAZEN Star Cup holder, “Cunning” Curt Cunning. BRAZEN’s Most Cunning Man came in with a plan using Curt Cunning Dos y Tres as distractions. After Aiden Harlow nabbed the first fall with a backslide, but Cunning scored the second by countout! He fought hard for the third fall, but Harlow fought back and Muzzled Cunning to a huge cheer from The BRAZEN Faithful to retain the Cup!

SuperDEFScoops

--The Women’s Division has two new additions! First, as advertised on our last Double Shot recap, BRAZEN Women’s Champion Bonita en Rosa I’s younger sister, Bonita en Rosa II made her debut… However, it was not without shady circumstances as she used an eye rake on Mess Hall Marsha followed by a flying DDT off the top rope to win the match! Bonita en Rosa I was not happy with her sister using rudo tactics to win, but Bonita en Rosa II said she would do what she had to do in order to win and help her sister remain champion!

--The other is the mysterious Ms. Massacre! Standing at 5’11” and only EIGHTEEN years old, nobody knows much about her! My attempts to dig up a scoop was that she has some familial connections in wrestling, but I haven’t been able to find out much honestly. I’ll keep digging, but Magdalena got destroyed by Ms. Massacre in fairly quick fashion! When one of our interviewers tried to speak with her, she simply turned and walked away!

--”The Young Bull” Tate Newell is back with a vengeance! After running through former Olympic swimmer Aury Phillips in less than a minute, Tate Newell came back and the popular blue chip star said he was going to cut down anyone that gets in his way to get another shot at the BRAZEN Onslaught Championship after being cheated by Adrian Payne in their last confrontation! His mentor, Dex Joy, told him to never give up and that’s exactly what he wasn’t going to do until he held gold in BRAZEN!

--Speaking of blue chippers, Ryan Murdock has been taking places and kicking faces with his  Route 202 move to the delight of the crowd, but Mark “Fire” Luck twice stood in his way! And the two giants battled back and forth over two nights, first to a double countout, then a No Contest after Luck pulled the referee into the way of a Route 202 big boot! The two continued to fight until they were separated by DEFSec! A special Falls Count Anywhere Match has been scheduled at the next Double Shot by BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment to see these two big men fight and see if giving them free reign will finally determine a winner!

--Rachel Tennison showed out in a big win in a three-way match as well! One of several students of the Luck Training Academy, Rachel busted out some amateur wrestling skills she hasn’t used into the ring until now to win the match with her new Tenplex finisher!

--Scheduled for the next Double Shot as well is a match between two young men looking for a shot at the BRAZEN Star Cup, Edgar and Brodie Hellyeah! The two rising stars have their eyes on the BRAZEN Star Cup and they will fight in a special Star Cup Rules match with the winner earning the next shot!

--But Aiden Harlow will be busy as well with the opportunity of his career! As the only man in BRAZEN so far to have defeated Felton Bigsby when he won the BRAZEN Star Cup, The Hound has challenged Felton Bigsby to a match for the BRAZEN Championship! The challenge was accepted and Felton Bigsby will defend the title on the next Double Shot against Harlow!

--BIGBOSS Batts and the former winner of the BRAZEN Contender’s Tournament, Leon Van Zandt, fought to a rare fifteen-minute draw! The two have agreed to a rematch at the next Double Shot!

--The issues between “One Shot” Jack Halcyon and Victor Vacio continue! Tied one a piece in a series of matches stemming back to the BRAZEN Contender’s Tournament, Los Caidos planned to assault Halcyon in the ring, but The Aerial Artists came to the aid of the underdog! In a match spanning almost fifteen minutes, Halcyon and The Aerial Artists scored the upset against the established Los Caidos when the 19-year-old prodigy Antonio Prince scored the win for his team! The Aerial Artists are planning to go for gold, but Los Caidos have promised that interfering in their business would only get them hurt!

That concludes this week’s BRAZEN Double Shot! Remember, everyone! I’m SuperDEFFan64 and stay tuned to defiancewrestling.com for further news, notes and recaps of all things BRAZEN! Peace!

TALKING SMACK

"...or we go with option number two: you can play your little games where you hide in the shadows instead of facing me like a man, and then I can just come find you. And what that means is Pat Cassidy is going to hit the town as only Pat Cassidy can, and at the end of a festive night of vigorous hydration, I’m calling an Uber to get myself home. And buddy, let me tell you what: in the history of Uber, there ain’t never been a pain-in-the-ass drunken customer quite like THIS guy."
