SuperDEFFan64’s Title Talk
BRAZEN CHAMPIONSHIP: The year-long run of BRAZEN Champion Felton Bigsby comes to an end, and it took the seven-foot three Rowzilla to do it! Both men BATTLED tooth and nail! Felton took Rowzilla off his feet by chopping his legs down, but Rowzilla stood tall! He overpowered Bigsby who attempted to use an exposed buckle, only to turn the tables to send him to the exposed buckle fist, then scoring with Don’t Look Down to win the title!
Felton Bigsby had a record-setting run that included TWO occasions of being a double champion, first coming in as the BRAZEN Star Cup winner, then later on in the year winning the BRAZEN Tag Team Titles! Rowzilla quickly made an impact by winning Tag Party Six with Max Luck, winning a Golden Opportunity Battle Royal back in January to earn this match! Rowzilla also makes history as the youngest wrestler to hold the BRAZEN Championship at only 20! During the show, Rowzilla’s father, The seven-foot one “The One Man Stampede” Warren Spade was in attendance and took pictures with his son in an amazing moment for both he and The BRAZEN Faithful! After the match, Rowzilla promised that he’d take on all challengers and lead the charge as the champion of the new guard of BRAZEN!
BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: In a shocking upset, “The Hound” Aiden Harlow becomes the first man to defeat the unstoppable Ryan Murdock! During the course of the match Murdock dominated the action with various power moves working over the back in a much more technical match than what we’ve seen from the blue chipper in the past! But Harlow hung in there and worked over the leg at every opportunity to try and block the power of Route 202, the unstoppable running big boot that has kicked down every other competitor! At the finish, he tried Route 202, only to get caught with a jackknife out of desperation! Thanks to the work over the leg, Murdock could not kick out in time and Harlow won the title! After the match, Murdock took the title from the referee, only to hand it over to The Hound himself and raised his hand!
BRAZEN Star Cup: “Not A Nice Fellow” George Othello was finally bested by his rival of the past few months, Edgar! Wrestling’s Best Ventriloquist becomes the first wrestler to hold the BRAZEN Star Cup twice tonight and finally put away Othello after twenty grueling minutes with his straitjacket swinging neckbreaker, Cut The Strings! Now reunited with both the BRAZEN Star Cup and his… ugh… puppet, Larry™, Edgar promised that he’ll take on anyone, anywhere, any time that wants The Cup!
BRAZEN Women’s Championship: The only title to not change hands tonight was Bonita en Rosa II retaining the title over the very game “Ten of Hearts” Rachel Tennison. The only female graduate of “Wild” Winston Luck took the fight to Bonita II and kept the pressure on for minutes at a time, but Bonita’s twin sister and former champion Bonita I helped her stay alive! At one point, Tennison busted out her incredible Top Ten corkscrew cartwheel moonsault to the outside! But towards the end, Bonita II managed to send Tennison into a cheap shot kick from Bonita I on the outside, leading to Bonita II scoring the win with Floriciendo to retain the title!
BRAZEN Tag Team Championships: While the champions were busy in separate matches this evening, new challengers were crowned! Everyone's favorite wrestling pirates, Sainted By The Storm, walked away with the win and as a result of the rules of the Golden Opportunity, they earn a Tag Team Title match at a future time and place of their choosing! Money Talks may have to watch their backs because the pirates can name when X Marks The Spot and could walk away with with the ultimate plunder when the time comes!
SuperDEFScoops
--BRAZEN’s fan favorite crime syndicate, Ocean’s Four, defeated The Nick Otto Trust once and for all! After spending the majority of the past year battling one another, Midas Mancini finally put down Nick “Lotto” Otto and his crew by hitting a Golden Sky senton through a table!
--Bonita en Rosa II already has problems! After defeating Rachel Tennison, she was speared nearly out of her boots AND mask, thanks to Ms. Massacre! Thus far, Ms. Massacre has largely kept to herself and left a trail of bodies, but now that she has won the #1 Contendership for the title, she left both Bonitas laying while taking possession of the BRAZEN Women’s Championship to show the CLASH crowd what she has her eye on next!
--Debuting at the show was a big-time signing fresh from tours in Japan, Puerto Rico and Europe, the debuting K-Tez quickly dispatched of former BRAZEN Star Cup winner “Cunning” Curt Cunning! After taking less than five minutes to put him away with his deadly Cyclone Crash finisher, K-Tez was asked about his name. K-Tez was short for Keith Cortez. When asked if any relation to the giant currently terrorizing the main roster, he smiled coyly and left without a word.
--”The Professional” Leon Van Zandt scored a big win over former BRAZEN Champion, “One Shot” Jack Halcyon and as such, has declared himself the new #1 contender for the BRAZEN Onslaught Championship! He congratulated Aiden Harlow, but promised he would be gunning right for the title.
--Speaking of, the former champion Ryan Murdock was also asked about where he goes from here after the shocking upset loss to Harlow. Murdock simply told a reporter “up” and then walked off without elaborating any further.
The biggest show of the BRAZEN calender year was a complete sellout at the Cicero Stadium with special events and signings continuing through the weekend! DEFCONCON remains ongoing through the weekend, but be sure to stay tuned for all things DEFCON when DEFIANCE brings you the two-night even LIVE, April 23rd and 24th from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois!
