Alceo never was one to over complicate things, and today was no different. He wasn’t going to spend days preparing some elaborate set, or finding the perfect venue to address his opponent this week. No, what he had to say needed to be heard, and it needed to be the focal point, so forget all those fancy settings, forget the props... a darkened room and a single chair to sit in would be plenty sufficient.

“Do yous know how long I waited to say the words that have been nestled behind these lips?” Alceo said as he pointed towards his wry smile, “Just waitin’ for their chance to escape an’ grace the world with their majesty?”

Alceo spoke slowly and with purpose. He savoured every syllable that fell from him as he said, “Jonny, I’m going to kick your goddamn head off a’ your goddamn shoulders!” before heaving a sigh of relief as though the weight of the world had been taken off his shoulders.

“Feels good to say that... An’ I mean ‘underwear changing, cigarette time good’ no less,” He said through a long drawn out breath, “‘Cause after week upon week a’ mentally paintin’ your face on every single one a’ my opponents, I finally get you one on one.”

Tapping on his temple, Alceo said “You wouldn’t a’ wanted to be in here durin’ that TLC match. Whole thing reminded me a’ ‘Bein’ John Malkovich’ ‘cept with some muscle bound freak with a flat top instead a’ Cyrus the Virus, you know?”

"Do you remember how you started all this, Jonny?” Alceo asked as he adjusted him into a more comfortable position in his seat, “I was quite happy... quite content to kick Heidi’s crown out through her nose.”

Alceo slapped the back of his head before bringing his hand back round the front of his face and miming a explosion in front of his own nasal cavity. He continued, “When yous come in with your little act of heroism... your little act of unwanted and unthanked heroism I should say... An’ yous got yourself mixed up with a man that yous really shouldn’t a’ got mixed up with."

“An’ now that man’s gonna beat two hundred an' sixty seven pounds a’ cheap shade wearin' crap all around his ring.” He added almost as though it were mentioned in passing.

A slight laugh followed as the corner of Alceo’s lip curled. “I can almost hear your tears fallin’ now... cryin’ about what gives me the right to call it 'my' ring? Well, Jonny, I am Evolution, see? This whole league revolves around me.” He said as if he were spouting off well known facts, all while spinning his finger in the air, “An' you? Yous just some single cell, knuckle draggin' amoeba, still clawin' your way outta the primordial goo.”

“But somehow Goldman don't see that,” Alceo said with a big shrug, “So I guess it's gonna be my job to open his eyes wide enough so he can see his major error in judgement.”

“I'm gonna show E-Gold just why I am the only guy he needs here on Evolution, Jonny, because I am the future...” He said confidently as he jabbed his index finger back into his own chest, “An’ that ain’t just the future a’ Defiance, but wrestling as a whole. Yous on the other hand? Well, the only thing yous got a future in is bingo halls and deli counters, spoonin’ out potato salad to some hag who ain’t never heard a’ yous.”

Alceo laughed to himself and shook his head, “So go ahead, Booya, bring your jokes, bring your quips, bring your ‘haircut’, bring your glasses, bring your friends, bring Kai Scott, bring Claira St. Sure... Bring anythin’ you want and everythin’ yous got!” He said confidently.

“‘Cause when we finally stand face to face, one on one, mano e mano... there ain’t nothin’ you can do to stop me from cavin’ in that hollow block you call a skull.”
