History

Biography
Rocko Daymon's nomadic career in professional wrestling has been ongoing since the late 90's, and has spanned countless federations and territories. Over that time, he's won numerous World Heavyweight and intermediate championships, and defined an identity as a competitor fully committed to improving himself as well as the sport. But such a legacy came at a price, including numerous chronic injuries, the demons of substance abuse, and a failed marriage to his longtime manager and companion, Caitlyn. Yet despite the obstacle both in and out of the ring, Daymon has continuously managed to rise in the ranks of greatness time and time again.

In 2010, an aging Rocko Daymon founded The Dojo Wrestling & Fitness Academy in Seattle as a means of passing on his skills and experience to future generations of professional wrestlers. One of his first students was a young Kerry Kuroyama, the son of Daymon's own friend and trainer, the late Japanese-American indie wrestling veteran Zack Kuroyama. Under Rocko's highly-disciplined and focused tutelage, Kerry proved to be an ideal pupil, eager to learn and improve as he built a future following the path of the family business.

In the years that followed, Daymon caught the spotlight once more when he rejoined Empire Pro Wrestling in a passionate campaign to reclaim the World Heavyweight Title, while Kuroyama cut his teeth in various indie wrestlilng and MMA federations in both the state and Japan, enjoying a brief tenure in New Frontier Wrestling where he quickly established himself as a potential up-and-comer.

In early 2016, the paths of student and master have merged once more with the formation of the Rain City Ronin. Now as tag partners, the two seek a new interest in overcoming new challenges. Daymon is focused on making the best of the final years his body has to offer, while his protege Kuroyama continues to seek out the knowledge he needs to become one of professional wrestling's most elite future stars.

Gimmick
Rocko Daymon is an experienced veteran of the ring with a profound level of dedication to the fighting spirit, on a path of constant self-improvement. His mission is to constantly raise the standards of honest, competitive professional wrestling while preserving the integrity of the sport. His personality can be described as no-nonsense and a bit philosophical.
Strengths
- Spent the past 17 years wrestling, and his wisdom and experience shows. There isn’t anything he hasn’t seen before.
- Keeps his focus and emotions in tact through almost anything, always determined to win and never giving in to excessive showboating.
- Pushes his limits in every match, fights tooth and nail, and absolutely refuses to give in until the bitter end.
Weaknesses
- Showing signs of age and many years of abuse in the ring, and doesn’t quite have the stamina and strength he had in his peak years.
- Despite his experience, still thinks his will unbreakable, and thus often allows himself take far more punishment than he can actually withstand.
- Very much a product of â€"Attitude Era” wrestling trying reform his wrestling style to better compete against scientific-minded wrestlers with better technique.
