History

Biography
Python is widely recognized as one of the most exciting and creative high-flyers in the pro wrestling business. Adopted in his youth and raised by legendary IZWA shoot-fighter Kyle Merchandise (real name Stan Fennik), he spent his childhood as a fan and student of the industry. After witnessing the murder of his father at age 14, Python sunk into a lengthy period of withdrawl from society, shaping his anger into ambition and training hard to reinvent himself as an athlete. He emerged in the east coast indie circuit years later as a promising competitor with the retained technical skills from his childhood training, astounding agility, and a completely unique offensive style that blended his natural high-flying talents with his practiced grappling and mat-wrestling chops. In an interview years later, he would go on to state that this style was born of feelings of being trapped in a "body that's inadequately equipped to succeed in this sport by any conventional methods", which simply required him to "become something new... something that nobody's ever seen before."

As time went on, Python's talent continued to grow. His work ethic, flashy moveset, and exciting new approach to the sport quickly propelled him through the ranks until he finally found himself in the big leagues at the ripe age of 18. He was signed to the west coast Zortalk Wrestling Federation, where he made a name for himself by climbing the ranks and eventually capturing both the Cruiserweight and World Titles at the same time. After the federation disbanded, Python was picked up Coalition of Affiliated Leagues (CAL) territory MSWA, where he worked in the Gravity division alongside wrestlers like Quinn Tate, Garrett Davidson, Cito Conarri and Chris Wright. When MSWA folded, Python was absorbed into the CSWA with the rest of the roster and did quite well for himself there, winning the CSWA Television Title.

From there, Python traveled to Old Line Wrestling, where his popularity soon began to skyrocket. His innovation and likeability made him a huge hit with the territory fans. On the May 5, 2007 edition of OLW Outrage, Python captured the WWA Double Crown Championship in a triple threat match against Brian Fisher and TC Jagger. This garnered him an international reputation as he continued to shine under his new-found spotlight. His fierce territorial pride for Old Line Wrestling always present, he went on to retain his title against Jake Devins in a bloody hardcore match at WWA International Wars. In doing so, he won the respect of many skeptics who had previously criticized him for his youth and assumed lack of method and experience.

Python rose to further critical acclaim by capturing the WfWA World Championship from Ryan Blasier. At the height of his career and still hardly older than 20, Python decided to step away and take a breath of air outside of the industry. After dropping the championship to Cobra, he disappeared off the public's radar for over a year and was rumored to be enjoying a relationship with ex-OLW superstar Gemma Lockhart before returning for a brief stint in the Defiance preseason. After enjoying a few more years of the free life, Python expressed interest in returning to Defiance on a long-term basis. He was quickly signed back to the company, refreshed and hungry as ever.

Quotes

  • Yeah, I try not to name most of the moves I make up during matches. They usually never happen again, and if they do, they only come out to play when they feel like it.
  • Is he legitimately a pilgrim?
  • WHAT THE FUCK IS UP!?
  • It’s rare that I get such a sweet dressing room with a PS3 compatible television.
  • Fuck yeah I am. Wait, can I say "fuck" on this show? Damnit. I mean, sorry. Fuck.
  • Yeah, he's won the belt before. But he's never won it from me.
  • If the Untouchables so much as entertain the thought of coming near that ring while I'm in it this weekend, I swear to god I will turn into Keanu Reeves in that scene in The Matrix: Reloaded where he's fighting off that huge army of Agent Smiths and he's just indestructible and he's stopping bullets with his mind and his punches and kicks are basically coming out of nowhere and no matter what they throw or shoot at him it just doesn't fucking matter because he's The Chosen One and he just destroys them all.

TALKING SMACK

"Defiance, disobedience, â€"sticking-it-to-the-man”? These are the qualities of a CHILD. An angry adolescent who does not yet possess both the intelligence or mental maturity to navigate a complex world. To be defiant is a child-like cry for help Grown adults don’t defy. Grown adults debate, reason, and compromise. To proudly proclaim yourself as defiant is to admit that your development has been stunted. It is to exclude yourself from adult conversations because your prefrontal cortex has not matured enough for you to exist in civilized society."
