Where is DEFIANCE's Anti-Superstar?

Posted by Christie Zane on 1 Oct 2014

DEFIANCE's 41st episode of DEFtv has come and gone with no word on the whereabouts of "The Anti-Superstar" Jason Natas, until now.

Natas had been slated to fight Frank Dylan James on that card, but was replaced the day of the show by Benny Torrez of the Handsome Men Modeling School. No explanation was given for the change in opponent when the show went live, but I've since learned the reason behind the decision.

During a routine training session the Saturday before DEFtv's airing, Jason Natas suffered a knee injury at his local gym in New York. When he arrived at the DEFIANCE Wrestle-Plex with a noticeable limp, he was ordered by Edward White to undergo further evaluation. Natas protested the directive, flipped the B0$$ off, and stormed out of the building.

Ed White revealed that the decision to slot Torrez into Natas' spot against FDJ, rather than cancel James' appearance entirely and "deal with the headache a rampaging Francis would cause," was tied directly to the decision to feature the company's developmental talent in a trios match before the show's main event. "The more these youngsters can showcase the skills they're learning at our state-of-the-art training center," said White, "the better it is for my invest--I mean, for the good of DEFIANCE."

The extent of Natas' knee injury is still unknown as he refused to comment via phone this week. Jane Katze, speaking today on behalf of White, indicated a termination notice was sent out the same evening as Natas' walk-out, although Jason refused comment on that also. If I have any further updates, you'll hear them here first.

TALKING DEF

"[Cayle Murray] was such a spirited do-gooder before all this. Do you think they put up one of those 5G towers near his home in Scotland and that’s how Mikey & Co. are able to implement mind control?"
