Ed White’s World Travels (see: spending spree) Continues

Last week it was a private beach on the isle of St. Barts in the Caribbean, this week self made multi millionaire Edward White is flashing huge wads of cash in Europe. Skiing in Switzerland, several nights in a penthouse suite in Rome, a quick jaunt across the Mediterranean on a private yacht only to end his jaunt in Morocco partying the night away in ancient city of Tangier. Never one to shy away from spending his fortune generously, this latest whirlwind trip around the globe has some investors raising a few eyebrows.
The laissez-faire attitude of a millionaire with nothing to lose or is this latest series of platinum plates escapades something… more? The financial and celebrity rumor mills have been running full bore as of late when it comes to the down and out wrestler turned rumored at one point “billionaire” venture capitalist. While that claim has never been substantiated, White’s rags to riches story is the thing of both financial AND pro wrestling lore. One day he’s galavanting around Seoul or jet setting to Monaco and the next he’s descending from his skybox at the WrestlePlex to stare down Dusty Griffith or Eric Dane. With his real life, his real wealth and business dealings intermingling with “kayfabe” its hard to tell what’s real and what’s show when it comes to The Socialite.
One thing is clear however, one commonality between all the unsubstantiated rumors and hearsay. Something is going on with Ed White. Sources close to him within the walls of DEF headquarters have said as much to me personally. His behavior both on and off the screen since the WrestlePlex opened has been to say the least, erratic. These lavish spending sprees aren’t new for White. But they’ve become more frequent and more secretive, leaving without a word to his assistants and business partners. This latest trip, White has yet to return from. After a few wild nights partying in the narrow cobbled streets of mysterious Tangier Ed’s traveling companions lost track of the self proclaimed Sophisticate. “He’ll turn up, Mr. White’s just… ummm… workin’ some stuff out, he… no more (expletive deleted) questions Warner, get the hell out of here. Jesus.” White’s personal security manager Nicky Corozzo was quoted saying earlier this morning.
