Title Talk!
BRAZEN Championship: Houston Strong does it again! Felton Bigsby avenges the recent loss from “The Hound” Aiden Harlow, who ended his run as the longest BRAZEN Star Cup holder in BRAZEN history! As their match ended up last time, no matter what Bigsby did to Harlow, The Hound was like a pitbull! Throughout this match that some say was best of the weekend, Harlow chipped away at the legs of Bigsby! At one point, Harlow may have been on the verge of victory when he was finally able to secure The Muzzle (crossface submission), only for Bigsby to make it to the ropes! A second attempt to try and lock it in ended badly when Katze raked the eyes of Harlow behind the ref’s back, once again allowing The Blood Diamonds member to keep a stranglehold on his title! No challenger has stepped forward yet and there appears to be no end in sight for Bigsby’s title run any time soon!
BRAZEN Onslaught Championship: And the same can be said for fellow BIG MAN LIKE ME “Problem Solver” Adrian Payne! The former BRAZEN Tag Team Champion, The House’s Adam Roebuck, tried to wrestle the title away and proved to be a challenge for Payne since Payne hasn’t fought too many people BIGGER than him! Roebuck almost had the match won with The Bad Hand, but Payne got a foot on the ropes! To put him down, Payne had to use not one, but TWO Stay Down slams! Payne once again retains the title, however… BRAZEN Matchmaker Capital Punishment has announced a tournament for the next Double Shot to crown the next challenger for the title!
BRAZEN Tag Team Championships: No matter what team is put in front of The Amazing Amarettos, Carlo and Gomez Ameretto keep making magic happen (PUNS, BABY!) and retaining the title! Main roster members, Sgt. Safety and Count Novick (a former BRAZEN Tag Team Champion himself) tried to take the gold away in the main event of Night One of BRAZEN’s Double Shot, but it was not to be! Next up, there will be a contendership match between the winner of a three-way match between Sainted By The Storm, The Dasher Siblings and OnlyFlips with that match opening the show and the winners challenging in that main event! The Amarettos better watch themselves!
BRAZEN Women’s Championship: What was shaping up to be a classic between defending champion Bonita en Rosa I and Brooklynn Rivera was interrupted by… ONLYFLIPS?! More appropriately, it was “Fashion Forward” Liz Icarus and her “Photog” Asi Orochi who attacked both competitors! Liz Icarus has declared she’s spent too damn long sitting on the sidelines looking better than everyone else while other women have cut ahead of her! Rivera was none too pleased, and neither was Bonita en Rosa I, who was left titleless due to Liz and Asi stealing the Women’s Championship!
BRAZEN Star Cup: While The BRAZEN Star Cup was not on the line due to Aiden Harlow challenging for the BRAZEN Championship itself, The Hound now knows his next contender… Edgar… AND HIS SCARY-ASS PUPPET! PUPPETS FREAK ME THE F*** OUT! …
Anyway, yes. Edgar defeated fellow rising star Brodie Hellyeah to earn his shot at the Cup and will challenge for it in two weeks! Will Edgar have two arms full to carry the BRAZEN Star Cup and… the Puppet?
SuperDEFScoops
--The BIGGEST news in terms of debuts was the announcement this week of BRAZEN’s newest signing, Rowen Spade aka Rowzilla! A third-generation star, his father “The Monster of the Mid-South” Warren Spade is a former nbW World Champion and his grandfather, “The One-Man Stampede” Darren Spade ruled Memphis for years with an iron fist! Rowzilla has gained a lot of attention this past week with not only a win on UNCUT (rare for a rookie!) but also with TWO wins over this last Double Shot - a singles win over Todd Dunson, then winning a special Battle Royal the following night! Rowzilla has made a tremendous impact and is only TWENTY years old! He has a world of potential and management are said to be high on his potential, as well as that of one other...
--The blue-chip prospect, the undefeated Ryan Murdock! After spending the past month battling with Mark “Fire” Luck to a series of inconclusive finishes, the two men finally settled their issues in a Falls Count Anywhere match that went all over BRAZEN Studios ending with Murdock KICKING MARK’S FACE OFF AND KNOCKING HIM OFF A STAGE! Murdock got the win! And is rumored to be an early favorite for the tournament I’m about to announce below!
--MIL VUELTAS was a special guest in attendance to support Bonita en Rosa II in her win. The two appear to be an item... but did not have a chance to celebrate for long due to a surprise apperance by BUTCHER VICTORIOUS! After two sneak attacks carried out by Mil Vueltas, Butcher has finally had enough and attacked Mil to a huge ovation from the BRAZEN Studios crowd before both men were escorted from the building!
--Former BRAZEN Star Cup winner Leyenda de Ocho scored a big win over former BRAZEN Champion Nick “Lotto” Otto! The longtime BRAZEN veteran has promised that he’s gunning for Felton Bigsby’s gold! Nick “Lotto” Otto was asked about the loss and brushed it off, saying it was cool and that he had forgotten Ocho’s name… but didn’t look too happy and was busy ranting to his “Independent Contractor” 1099 after one of our interviewers asked about that loss.
--After fighting to a draw in their last meeting, former BRAZEN Champion BIGBOSS Batts defeated “The Professional” Leon Van Zandt
--The issues between Los Caidos against Jack Halcyon and The Aerial Artists continued across the Double Shot when after Halcyon and the Artists won their eight-man tag team match two weeks ago, they split victories among two tag matches. The powerful luchador, Misil, and Wes the Wrestling Statue got the win over Los Caidos members Hugo Gonzales and Corey Nunez, but it was “The Lost Cause” Victor Vacio and Gerardo Villalobos who got the win by defeating Antonio Prince with brass knuckles! After the match, Halcyon demanded a grudge match and the match has been granted! At the next double shot, a special Lumberjack Match will take place between Halcyon and Vacio with the Los Caidos and Aerial Artists among the Lumberjacks at ringside!
--The women’s division has exploded, even in the absence of former champions Ophelia Sykes and Jocelyne Ingrid Blythe! Bonita en Rosa II has secured her second win, albeit through nefarious means unlike how Bonita en Rosa I conducts herself! The two twins have apparently wanted nothing to do with each other. But in other news, Rachel Tennison continues to use her amateur background to suplex her competition into the ground!
--Ms. Massacre racked up a second win over Mess Hall Marsha with her Death by Disfigurement iron claw submission! The eighteen-year-old phenomenon is starting a win streak of her own the in the Women’s Division!
--And elsewhere, the 80s-themed HurriJane was defeated by “The Piano Woman” Brenda Renetti after using an exposed turnbuckle and then following with The Downeaster Alexa sitdown splash! After the match, HurriJane challenged her to a rematch that will take place on the next Double Shot!
--Midas Mancini bounced back from a tough loss a few weeks ago to Felton Bigsby with a win over former BRAZEN Onslaught Champion “Mellow Yellow” George Othello. After the match, Midas declared he and Getaway Jones have their sights set on some gold and will be looking to get their hands on some eventually! The man nicknamed after gold will hold gold!
--”The Young Bull” Tate Newell continues to cut right through his opponents, this time over Hurtlocker Holt in just over two minutes! Newell has come back from injury with a renewed pursuit of gold himself!
