Title: Beating the buzzer
Featuring: Cancer Jiles
Date: 8/23/12
Location: The boof

[Cancer Jiles.]

[T-shaded. Popped collar. Pearlies sparkling.]

[Go.]

“Mike Sloan and Curtis Penn.”

[...]

“Odd. I have nothing to say to you two.”

[Shocked at his newfound speech impediment, Cancer vibrates his head back and forth to maybe jar something loose.]

“The even odder part -- because how often is the Count tongue tied -- I almost feel bad about it. Like, I’m shortchanging you guys somehow.”

[Cancer snaps his fingers as if an opportunity just passed him by.]

“Do me a favor-- help me out some. Try becoming significant, and stop cleaning the toilets at the end of each show. Then, maybe I would know a little bit more about you two.”

[The Lord of COOL shrugs.]

[He can not do it all by himself.]

“I know I smoke pot, and have the memory of an Alzheimer's patient... so maybe you guys have done something worthy as of late, and I just forgot about it like I’m going to do with War Games.”

[Cancer is already playoff bound, so the outcome of the tag match means he’s either going to get unbeatable one, or unbeatable two. Hence, why he really doesn’t care if War Games lasts three minutes or three hours.]

“Maybe after you defeat the Great King of COOL, I’ll care to remember more than just your stupid names and your primary occupation.”

“I dunno.”

“I’m not making any promises.”

[Cut.]

TALKING SMACK

"...or we go with option number two: you can play your little games where you hide in the shadows instead of facing me like a man, and then I can just come find you. And what that means is Pat Cassidy is going to hit the town as only Pat Cassidy can, and at the end of a festive night of vigorous hydration, I’m calling an Uber to get myself home. And buddy, let me tell you what: in the history of Uber, there ain’t never been a pain-in-the-ass drunken customer quite like THIS guy."
