Title: Outside The Lines
Featuring: Chance Von Crank
Date: 4/23/13
Location: Bristol, CT
The logo comes across the screen as Epsn's Outside The Lines program continues to the first segment. Bob Ley comes into focus as he begins to speak.
Bob Ley: This week has been a tragic one in the world of sports. The Boston Marathon tragedy has us all reeling and leaving us with just one question. Why? We will have a full panel to discuss the Boston tragedy after this Jeremy Schaap special report. The Trailer Park Prodigy fall from grace and rise back to the top.
Jeremy Schaap begins speaking as early video footage of Chance Von Crank's career.
Schaap: Daredevill. Show Man. The Reason You Came. Many different words to describe one, Chance Von Crank. Recently he was crowned the Southern Heritage Champion of Defiance Wrestling. The last year of his life has been a roller coaster ride of highs and lows. I recently sit down with the professional wrestler.
Schapp and Chance sit across from each other at a table. Chance is sitting up in his chair still in amazement at being in Bristol at ESPN. Chance shuffles his belt across his shoulder as the camera man says, "Action".
Schaap: Chance Von Crank... Recently you won the Southern Heritage Championship, what are you're thoughts on your big win?
cVc: Relief. I just find myself too great to not have gold to my name. Not to toot my own horn or suck my own [BEEP] or anything but I deserve this.
Schaap: You're ranting and raving always has caused quite a stir. You recently was exiled from American Wrestling, correct?
cVc: Not Exiled as much as fed up with all the bull[BEEP]
Camera cuts away and shows clips of cVc wrestling in DRW/TRUE/HOW. Between the match clips it shows cVc jumping rope in a barn on his property.
cVc: I have wrestled all over the world and held crowds in the palm of my hands. I waited my whole career for a big contract from one of these big companies. I spent months after a shoulder injury rehabing before I even debuted in Death Row and then the other two. Alot of false dreams and broken promises in all three of them mother[BEEP]ers. I found real talent in Defiance and they know just what they have in TPP.
Cutting away from Chance it cuts to valiant battles in Death Row with current Defiance Wrestling World Champion, Cancer Jiles. The video clips other feuds with Storm and Stevens are shown as well with Jeremy Schaap narrating. .
Schaap: The Trailer Park Prodigy found himself entangled in backstage politics and soon in August of 2012 out of American Professional Wrestling altogether. Chance would goto Mexico to wrestle with dates in Japan falling through.
The camera cuts back to Schaap and Crank.
Schaap: September, October, November... etc. What were you doing during this time?
cVc: I was doing what TPP does best. Wrestle. I may have been in Mexico but it was still better in those shit towns than wrestling for any of the [BEEP]gots! I felt sorry for myself for a few months until I looked in the mirror and remembered just who it was, that I am. All I Do is Draw... Wheither it be in Miami in some arena or in a barn in Mexico, Jeremy... Wherever I go... They all come for the show. When you can walk out and by a mere mention of your name everyone in that arena is at a fever pitch. That moment is my moment. When I turn it on to show everyone in the world who doubts me just what The Trailer Park Prodigy Does.
Schaap: What's that?
cVc: I Put Asses to Seats.
As Schaap begins to narrate again it shows cVc in Defiance Wrestling. The video shows Chance winning match after match. Then tieing up with Python and losing only to win the battle royal not an hour later.
Schaap: Crank would leave Mexico and sign with Defiance Wrestling. A quick upstart last April and then a winter of wrestling in Mexico he finds himself back in big time American professional wrestling. Suffering his first loss in months to Python on Retaliation he would go on later that night at Untouchable as well.
Crank and Schaap come back into focus and fade in and out as ESPN shows footage from the Battle Royal.
Schaap: Now you have won titles before? Also... How intense was the battle royal for that championship?
cVc: When I was coming up through the indy circuits I did, but a big time title like this? Naw. This is legit and it's mine. As far as the battle royal goes I had just lost my first match. I had to brush it off and figure out a way to beat this guy. He soundly beat me on Retaliation and that is still fresh in my mind as I walk to the ring for the royal. I found myself in the ring surrounded by opponents all looking to win. I took my time and waiting for the right moment to strike each and every one. It took us all to kill the snake, but just me to finish off Lash Graham.
Chance finally takes off his mic and holds it up to his mouth. He knocks his chair over and crawls on the table holding his belt up to the camera in his other hand.
cVc: No More [BEEP]ing questions! I did this so my agent would get off my back. He says ESPN is good for our business, ha. Who cares what you think of us? I sure the [BEEP] do not! Short story, I took over the world and none of those [BEEP]suckers knew the star they had! OHHH HOW THEY [BEEP]ed Up! Now I may be no original Defiant but ill be the one you never forget. People Come To See Me! All week they work and just barely make it. Still! They goto DefianceWrestling.com and see the dates and find a way to come up with the money. They sit in they're floor as a family makes signs like "Crank Sucks", or "Suck A (===8". I fuel them with hatred so deep they find themselves spending money they can't afford to see a man they honest to god, HATE! That's right, I am the Champion and whoever wants a shot at my title come and [BEEP]ing Get It.. Lash Graham have you got the sack? Have you got the sack to take my belt? Are you in my league? That what you're doing right now, Second Guessing yourself because cVc is on Sportscenter talking [BEEP]. Talking [BEEP] You Know I Can Back Up. You think you can beat The Trailer Park Prodigy and take his belt? Prove It.
Chance throws the mic down as Bob Ley is apologizing for Crank's language.
