Cyrus Bates tries to plow through the dense thicket of forest.

Cyrus Bates:
He’s gotta be here somewhere. I smell it.

Looking like an army soldier fit for the frontlines, Bates continues marching on.

Cyrus Bates:
They couldn’t have taken him far.

His tree trunk thighs easily brush the tall grass aside. He stops for a brief moment to observe the lay of the land like a survivalist expert. Sweat glistens from his brow as his face paint runs down to his large, shredded chest.

Cyrus Bates:
Where are you?

Cyrus grinds some dirt between his fingertips as if that would somehow help give an indication to find whoever he’s looking for.

Cyrus Bates:
Suffering succotash. Trail ran cold.

The Bellicose Brawler retrieves a large antenna radio from his cargo pants pocket.

Cyrus Bates:
Blue Eagle to Swans Nest, Blue Eagle to Swans Nest. Do you read me? Over.

Bates shuffles the receiver in his hand as he impatiently waits for a response. A moment passes by without hearing anything so he tries communicating again.

Cyrus Bates:
Blue Eagle to Swans Nest. I repeat, this is Blue Eagle to Swans Nest, over. I cannot seem to find the subject of interest. They hid him well. Moving to the next phase. Over.

Bates waits for yet another moment of radio silence before stashing the device, holding up his fist and completing an overly complex hand gesture before military rolling and sprinting in a southerly direction.

Cyrus Bates:
ROLL OUT, C SQUAD!

Suddenly, what looked like two random piles of moss and twigs begin moving. Indeed, it’s a pair of soldiers dressed in ghillie suits, blending in with the surroundings. The duo take off their headpieces, revealing none other than MEE6 and ALEX.

MEE6:
No luck finding him, huh?

ALEX shakes his head no.

ALEX:
Guess not. Our mission isn’t over yet though. We have to find the subject for Swans Nest. He sent us on this mission for a reason. We can’t fail him.

MEE6 and ALEX take another second before donning their full gear once more and setting off to join their squadron leader.
