Assembling the 'Heroes

Posted by Lance Warner on 6 Aug 2014

We're not too far away from the Grindhouse: AMERICA pay-per-view hitting the Hulu airwaves live from New Orleans, and the DEFIANCE talent is starting to arrive in the Big Easy little by little. In addition to various promotional appearances taking place over the course of the coming days, production meetings and final preparations have been happening all week.

This may be the reason for my receiving the following text message today...

"If you've got time to spare at the show, we'd like to have a chat. The earlier the better. - LT"

The Big Damn Heroes are coming off a rough go-home show in Alabama where they were attacked by the Legitimate Businessman's Club prior to what they thought would be a trios tag match. At the tail end of that set up, Tony "Two Hands" Di Luca, the reigning Southern Heritage champion, challenged Wade Elliott to the title match the Bad Dog was promised as a result of Lindsay Troy defeating "Big" Vinny Rinaldi in singles competition.

The 'Heroes have been quiet since Tuscaloosa. With the exception of an existing head wound of Troy's being re-opened courtesy of Alceo Dentari, the extent of their injuries, if any, aren't fully known. Maybe this interview request by the Queen of the Ring will help clear some things up.

Make sure you're there with me at Grindhouse: AMERICA to find out!

TALKING DEF

"I helped forge in blood the title my good friend here has single handedly made the top prize in the company. Just like I personally forged the World title that came before it from the ASHES of the WfWA. From day one, the first card, the first match I made Eric Dane’s company my bloody religion."
