The following statement has been authorized by my client, James Witherhold, for immediate release in regards to the history breaking achievement on DEFTV145 (Night One):
December 11th, 2020
DEFIANCE Wrestling, LLC
C/O Favoured Nations Financial
Mr. David Danielson
CEO, DEFIANCE Wrestling
Mr. Thomas Brown
Chairman, Favoured Nations Financial Board of Directors

Gentlemen,
It is a great honor to write to you in regards to the topic previously discussed on the phone December 9th, 2020. As you are aware, on DEFTV145 live from New Orleans, Louisiana history was made for the DEFIANCE audience and world to experience together. To call this, as many have, “a sham”, “a gimmick”, or to have gone to such lengths to delegitimize the accomplishment and ground-breaking legacy set forth by Mikey Unlikely is not only unacceptable but entirely unbecoming.
To be frank, there has been no competitor or talent bestowed upon this company like Mikey Unlikely who could, would, or will be able to reach the unprecedented mark of DEFIANCE legacy. The difficulty of achieving this grand honor should not be lost upon us as Mikey Unlikely is the first to do such.
I’ll state that again, a grand honor, as it is such a mind-blowing accomplishment when you take a look at others who failed to attain such:
Eric Dane.
Lindsay Troy.
Dan Ryan.
“Sub-Pop” Scott Douglas.
All failures in the quest of true DEFIANCE legacy.
To this end it serves to remind the leadership that debate as to the legitimacy of the belt transition is not in dispute- Mikey Unlikely is Grand Slam Champion without question and with merit.
After an exhaustive review by the clients of Marshall Owens (legal counsel): Jesse Frederiks Kendrix, James Witherhold, Cayle Murray, and Michael Unlikely (24K), it has been determined that the DEFIANCE Onslaught Championship was never vacated or placed into a defunct status. Essentially giving the title a “living” status as an active belt.
This is further noted as the company has (and still) recognizes Jesse Frederiks Kendrix as a reigning DEFIANCE Onslaught Champion of over one thousand four-hundred and thirty-two days. Another record in its own right and that should also be hailed with the accomplishment of Mikey Unlikely becoming the first Grand Slam Champion.
To the point of the DEFIANCE Onslaught Championship never being officially defunct or removed- this was obviously an oversight or pure incompetence by prior management before the course correcting direction that Favoured Nations Financial has taken DEFIANCE. However, this does not alter the fact that previous action to defunct the belt was never executed leaving the DEFIANCE Onslaught Championship in active standing as previously stated.
With that in mind and a reason to celebrate this miraculous achievement of wit, strength, and success and to also preserve this once in a lifetime accomplishment with the hope of honoring DEFIANCE legacy 24K have sought and received permission from the Art Council of the City of New Orleans to erect a statue in honor of this great achievement on city grounds at the main throughway of the Wrestleplex.
The city sees this statue as not just an image of DEFIANCE success but of “The Big Easy” as well.
24K also is requesting a plaque of large, negotiable dimensions to be erected and mounted near the internal box office of the Wrestleplex with design chosen by 24K and approved by Favoured Nations Financial with a cost split of 75% 24K, 25% by Favoured Nations Financial respectfully. These are the same conditions offered and accepted by the Art Council of the City of New Orleans.
24K also requests there be made and given a “Grand Championship” (to be designed by Mikey Unlikely) for his feats and to replace the ill-favored and unattractively named FIST in lieu of a title more fitting for such a once in a lifetime victory.
24K looks forward to your response and acceptance to terms as together we plant true DEFIANCE history,
James Witherhold
