Teresa grabs her belongings before heading out for the start of yet another day. She pins her bookstore nametag to her blouse before sauntering out of her apartment and towards the elevator.

Vickie:
Hey stranger!

A familiar voice echoes from behind Teresa as the elevator doors swing open. Teresa glances back as she walks onto the mobile platform. Her eyes light up at the sight of Vickie.

Teresa:
Oh hey, Vickie. Going down?

Vickie nods.

Vickie:
Yup. Grocery shopping. You know, the life of a stay-at-home partner, am I right? Oh, who am I kidding? You’re a working wife! I’m such a dunce, haha. Where is Mathias anyway?

Teresa lightheartedly chuckles.

Teresa:
He went to work early. Or he went to the gym? Actually, I’m not too sure where he is but you know Mathias, he’s always working on something.

Once both women are in the elevator, the doors shutter and the compartment begins its slow and steady descent.

Vickie:
Yeah, totally. So, listen, just between us, what would you say to going out for dinner with Jonathan-Christopher and I sometime soon? To celebrate like old times. Obviously, Mathias is invited too. It would be silly without him. Couples date. What do you say?

Teresa smiles with acceptance.

Teresa:
For sure, Vickie. We’d love that.

The elevator arrives at the lobby.

Vickie:
Oh but don’t say anything to Mathias! Jonathan-Christopher was going to ask him but I saw this perfect opportunity to ask you so I opened my big blabbermouth. I’m a dummy for stealing his thunder. Don’t say anything to him about it, okay? Promise?

Teresa readjusts her single strap purse over her shoulder as she exits the elevator and looks back with a wink.

Teresa:
No worries. I promise.
