J.J. Dixon Biography

"The Fatal Attraction" JJ Dixon was reborn after ACTS OF DEFIANCE 2023. JJ expressed dismay and was upset about the lack of public response to the brutality he endured in a "No Surrender" cage match at the After surviving brutal violence in a "No Surrender" cage match at the hands of his ex-fiance Caitlyn Kinsey. This, along with similar feelings from his charismatic manager Madame Melton, prompted his transformation from a happy-go-lucky hyperathletic showman into a mask wearing monster.

Previous to that, JJ Dixon was a member of The Southern Basterds alliance, and was constantly struggling to find his footing and often rumored to be getting cut from the roster. He was soon approached by the then Teri Melton - a former managerial legend who came back to reclaim past glory - and found success as "The Special Attraction" by channeling his incredible athleticism with a love of old-school wrestling moves.


Formerly one-third of the Southern Basterds tag team, JJ Dixon faced professional and financial difficulties that made him contemplate retiring from the sport, along with a rumored potential firing from the BRAZEN roster. He gave himself one last match to prove himself against Nicky Synz.

Without any announcement ahead of time, Teri Melton (and her enforcer Zoltan) offered JJ an opportunity. She would pay off his debts and provide him with housing and training in exchange for her managerial services. After Teri assisted in JJ's victory over Nicky (via cheating, which JJ did not see at the time), he agreed to these terms.

Despite initial hesitations and Teri's manipulations, JJ soon decided to fully align with Teri and christened himself as "The Special Attraction."

However, JJ and Teri soon formed a unique bond and realized they were earning fan support, particularly driven by Teri's popular "Teri Melton! Is Ready! For Her Closeup!" catchphrase. Dubbing themselves as Your Uncut Gems, the duo cast themselves as a joint underdog story and redemption tale, along with a love of finding increasingly ludicrous ways to win matches via deception done to heels.

JJ also embarked on a rivalry with Masked Violator 1. During their rivalry, Teri Melton and MV1's nemesis Lord Nigel revealed they had a mysterious and romantic relationship in their past they were seeking to rekindle. However, Teri revealed this to be a scam to con Lord Nigel out of a significant sum of money.

JJ and MV1, while becoming friends, had a well-received Ironman match at DEFIANCE Road 2023 described as a breakout moment for both men. JJ won the match in the final seconds, and cemented himself as a true up-and-coming star in DEFIANCE.

JJ injured his left shoulder during his matches with MV1 and others, which soon came back to haunt him during his feud with Nathan Eye. Nathan beat JJ in a dog collar match under dubious means, and JJ required surgery on his shoulder.

Since then, JJ has parted ways with former manager Teri Melton. He has also embarked on a romantic relationship with newcomer Caitlyn Kinsey. 

 

 

 

"The Fatal Attraction" JJ Dixon combines a sadistic "monster" personality with his hyper-athleticism. JJ's a pained, tortured soul who believes his purpose is to eliminate DEFIANCE's fan favorites so he can replace them to become the hero he believes himself to truly be. 

1) LACK OF MERCY. JJ has become an unfeeling sort who enjoys inflicting punishment on his opponents.

2) ELITE ATHLETICISM. JJ has incredible athleticism and accurately states (boasts) that he has the speed, agility, jumping and strength required to play at any elite level sport he wants. This translates in the wrestling ring with his explosiveness and quickness. JJ's almost always too fast for bigger wrestlers and almost always too strong for smaller wrestlers.



3) LOVE OF CHAOS. JJ has one of the strongest motors in wrestling. He does not stop moving when he has control in the ring. He just goes, goes and goes. Along with the outside interference of his manager and stablemates, JJ's constantly using distractions and misdirection to his advantage and opportunity.

3) BRAWLING. JJ's initial days in DEFIANCE were spent as a tag wrestler with the Southern Basterds, who were known for their brawling ways. This has only increased in recent months, especially with his new attitude change. JJ enjoys bloody brawls, weapons and the like.

4) NO FEAR. JJ will do absolutely anything and everything to hurt an opponent and win.
 

1) TECHNICAL WRESTLING. JJ was trained by a brawling wrestler to be a brawler. Technical mat skills were not emphasized in the early days of his wrestling ability. He will be disadvantaged in this department. JJ does not know any complex submission holds and is also prone to losing via roll-ups.

2) NEED FOR ATTENTION AND APPROVAL. JJ constantly looks for attention from the fans along with approval from his manager Madame Melton, whom he refers to as Mommie Dearest. This need often leads to him being distracted and allowing for opponents to take advantage.

3) HIGH RISK FAILURE. JJ's no fear and high risk moves can often come back to haunt him.
