[Tres Brujas are standing in front of it, Claira St. Sure front and center, Diane Parker to her right, and Lisa Loeh to her left.]

Diane:
Curtis, Tyson, Mike, new kid, none of us have anything against any of you.  I haven’t forgotten Mike saving me from Heidi during the battle royal, or how Tyson and I worked together for a few minutes to take down Nicky Corozzo.  This match?  I know it’s hard to keep friends in wrestling, because everyone wants the same thing.  They want to win, they want that gold.  FIST, Trios, World, everyone wants them all.

But that’s looking a long way ahead, isn’t it? 

We’ve got to get past an MMA expert, a tough young kid, and a new school agile heavyweight before we can even worry about declaring ourselves in the Trios Title hunt. 

But, you know what?  I feel pretty good about our chances.

[Just the way a good tag team does, Lisa steps right in to continue Diane’s train of thought.]

[I don’t know if they got over hating each other fast, or just rehearsed, or what, but they’re on the same page somehow.]

Lisa:
We have Claira, you see.

Boys, it took Christian Light twenty minutes to beat Claira, and he only did that once.  And Eugene Dewey’s the only other person who even came remotely close.

You know what, Defiance?  I think there’s a little bit of a problem here.

Claira has beaten everyone in the league there is to beat except for Light, and our beloved champion Jeff Andrews.  And nobody’s even thought of putting her in the ring against him.  I guess you boys are too busy waving your dicks at each other on Twitter to acknowledge Claira.  Or more likely, hoping to God she lets you keep getting away with ignoring her.

[Lisa puts one hand on Claira’s left shoulder and rubs it, then slaps her on the back.]

[Claira has not taken her eyes off the camera or blinked.]

Diane:
But Team Sloan… you know what, you look real good on paper, and that counts for something, but let me remind you.  Wrestlers like me give those kickboxing types like Penn a headache, because we know how to not get thrown, not get rolled, and we know how to pin someone for a count of three without needing to beat them up so bad they pass out.

Between the backfist, the enzuigiri, the step-up knee and the busaiku knee, Claira’s got enough strikes to stop Burke in his tracks no matter what he’s trying, and she can cut down the big new kid just like she did the sumo while she’s at it.

Lisa:
The bigger they are, the more it hurts them to fall over.

You’re right, we’ve got the experience, and we’ve got the wrestling pedigree.  Two Wrestling Inferno graduates and Kai Scott’s personally trained disciple who was being forged into a fighting machine before she could count her age in double digits!

We’re going to beat Team Sloan.  We just are.

And then once you go down, it’s time to get The Untouchables’ attention.  I don’t know if we’re going to end up against The Good Fight, or the Moral Majority, or Dentari and the Gorillas – I’m kind of hoping for the Majority personally because I can’t wait to see Box’s head explode after Claira taps him out like a Morse Code SOS – but once we do that, then it’s on to the trios titles.

Claira:
First, Team Sloan.  Then, the FIST.  Then the Trios belts.
